We spent the evening at Clay Hall Hotel last Friday evening, the staff were incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The room was warm, clean and comfortable and the breakfast excellent, with lots of choice, where making changes wasn't an issue and was met with a really helpful smile and friendly service. Would definitely recommend it and would...

Stayed one night on business. Room pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast fresh cooked. Had the salmon and scrambled egg on a bagel. Enjoyed it greatly. Conveniently placed (5-10 min walk) for town centre. Would revisit.

My husband stayed during a business trip . On arrival we were made welcome and our room on the first floor was of a very good size but is looking tired. Old building so expect very squeaky flooring. Huge comfy bed and large bathroom. Nowhere in there to put make up /toiletries etc. Mini bar in room is pricey but...

Hello thank you for your review. I was surprised by your comment about the room being tired and would be keen to know which room you stayed in on the 1st floor. I have a hunch it was room 1. Whilst the decor is traditional and not contemporary modern in keeping with our 265yr old Georgian house I wouldn't call...

I stayed at the hotel for a couple on nights on business and had a really good experience. I was in the annexe section and this looked to be fairly newly renovated. The room was large, clean and stylishly designed with a modern ensuite. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was a...

Stayed in the coach house rooms (just like being in a motel, with cars right outside rooms. The room was fine a little damp maybe but ok. However the room had terrible wi-fi - 00's slow or mostly non existent, really should do better as the hotel is not cheap.

Stayed here to attend a local show. We were allocated rooms in the adjoining coach house. Our room was well appointed with beautiful soft furnishings.Only little niggle was the quality of the towels. But they have been supplied by a laundry. A good selection was available at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.

Lovely and clean, staff really friendly and obliging. Breakfast delicious with plenty of choice cooked to order. Only grip no bottles of water provided in rooms. Front facing rooms can hear traffic outside, we always request a garden room . Have stayed here four times and would recommend.

Well, what a lovely place to stay! The hotel is spread across two buildings and I stayed in a single room in the coach house. The hotel is beautifully appointed, well presented in a contemporary style that blends all their period character details and I have to say the bed was well comfy - and they didn't scrimp on pillows...
