We went to Gotse Delchev to spend off and to see this town, due to good feedback's on tripadvisor and booking, we decided to stay in Complex Baroto. Check in was fast,no issues with reception. Disappointment started when we came to the room. It was just cleaned however on the floor was long black hairs, and bed sheets full of...

Hotel Baroto is a lovely local hotel in Gotse Delchev, around a 5 minutes drive to the town. I stayed here with a few work friends in August 2014 and I would return in a heart beat. The hotel was clean and prices extremely reasonable (Beer around 75p; 3 course meals for one around £9 including 2-3 drinks) The staff...

Hotel Pirin Paradise, One of the worst hotels I've stayed at, if not the worst! The hotel was fully occupied but staffed by only three people (and possibly some cleaning staff), they put in a lot of effort but it was obvious that carrying out multiple duties such as receptionist, working behind the bar, cook and bottle washer was to...

I find it hard to review this hotel fairly. We stayed here twice. The first time, last year, was fine. It's a pleasant place, in a nice setting with adequate rooms. The menu was a bit limited but that wasn't a problem. The staff spoke little English, but we managed. There was no electricity at first, but they turned it...

I have stayed here on many occasions, usually in the winter months, so the pool is not operating. The hotel is clean, comfortable and staff are very friendly. It is good value for money (45 lev for a double room), although breakfast is not included. Evening meals are good quality, good value. I use this hotel a lot when travelling...

We stayed here 5 nights along with 20 other UK guests attending a wedding just up the road. Comfortable and well-equipped ensuite room with balcony, air con, TV. Hotel has a pool and a kids pool, small "gym" (exercise bike plus weights), sauna. Free wifi. Meals served in dining room or, usually, at shaded tables near the pool. Wide menu...

“Hotel Pirin Paradise, One of the worst hotels I've stayed at, if not the worst! The hotel was fully occupied but staffed by only three people (and possibly some cleaning staff), they put in a lot of effort but it was obvious that carrying out multiple duties such as receptionist, working behind the bar, cook and bottle washer was to much for one person despite endless amount of energy! The room - the sheets did not fit, towels were very thin and half the size of normal bath towels and were never changed. The room was not cleaned for the week we were there, in fact there was nothing done to the room at all! The all in one, wash room, shower and toilet room had pipes coming out of the wall and dangling in the air as well as pipes coming out of the floor by the radiator! Everything seemed connected so I’m not sure why the pipes were left like that! Dining - Food was put on the table before we sat down at for breakfast and dinner, so if not on time it went cold, that is if it was hot in the first place. The majority of people staying at the hotel were Bulgarian and they left many of the breakfast and dinners served!). The hotel is advertised has having a restaurant, two barbecues, a fitness gym, a sauna, a lobby bar and digital TV! Unhappy with the food being served I picked up the menu to try and order additional food and was willing to pay extra, I was advised they were not taking orders from the menu during the period of our stay! I’m not sure I would go as far as calling it a ‘restaurant’, there was a place where you could sit and eat but it was more like a dinner hall in a school but much smaller! There were no barbecues while we were there, fair enough! Fitness gym and sauna were nowhere to be seen, they were never mentioned by anyone (on the two coaches) nor was there any signs of someone using these facilities! E.g hot and sweaty or red faced people! As for the lobby bar, very limited in stock, no Bulgarian beer and simply a mess behind the bar, e.g. lots of rubbish on the floor and on the counter, not just one or two items, bags of stuff and litter! Often the bar was left unattended while the cooking or other jobs were carried out! The digital TV in the lobby was turned up so loud but some elderly Bulgarian guests (my age 60-70) the area had to be vacated because of the noise! Staff were reluctant to ask them to turn it down!! The best think about the hotel, it had wi-fi and I could keep in contact with the outside world!”
