I would have rated 3.5 stars if possible. We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Margouillat. It's a small hotel, very personal and feels private, which we liked. Two things that we didn't find ideal: at some days there weren't enough deck chairs around the pool for all the guests. It's not a typical "stay-in-and-enjoy-by-the-pool" hotel, but the management should... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this charming boutique hotel. The food was stunning. We were told by a local guide that it had the best restaurant in Reunion and we can well believe this. We are not French speakers but the staff were charming and conversed in English. We had a suite below the swimming pool( one... More

This hotel was our base for two weeks and it felt like a second home from the beginning. The property is exquisite and stylish in an understated way with artwork from local artists. Foremost, all the staff seem genuinely interested in providing the best possible help to the guests - although this seems to be the way everywhere in Reunion... More

A truly wonderful place to be, delightful, quaint, charming, all of these things and more. The small size of this hotel ensures that you receive the attention and service you deserve. A beautiful setting, beautiful rooms, lovely warm fresh water pool and the distant sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline, not to mention the glorious sunsets. This hotel... More

I'll write this in English, since there are already many French reviews, and Anglophones deserve to experience the Blue Margouillat too! We stayed here over the Valentine's Day weekend while visiting La Reunion. We had dined there on a previous visit, and decided to splurge a bit and stay there this time. It was well worth it. The hotel truly... More

What an incredible hotel. Gloriously welcoming and helpful staff, amazing food, incredible view from our room ..... the only sadness was leaving after just three nights. We'd travelled from London via Mauritius airport - a long, long journey and were worn out, but just the sight of the view over the Indian Ocean refreshed us. "Let's have the petites bouchées... This hotel is absolutely brilliant. I have never stayed in such an immaculately kept hotel, the room was spotless throughout. Stayed in one of the suites, had a large balcony and the view was fantastic, the bed very comfortable, we had an enormous living area too. The room also comes with a hot tub on the balcony, perfect for enjoying... More

Firstly before even considering the hotel, if you're visiting Reunion from outside of France, Parlez-vous français? If yes, go!!! It's incredible! If no, or like us, just a little, you'll be fine in this hotel however, outside its a bit of a struggle and people are not the most welcoming to newcomers. Anyway... This hotel... Is lovely, friendly, rooms are... More

This must be one of the best small hotels we've ever stayed in. From the first reception on arrival through every contact to checking out, the young friendly, efficient staff could not have been better. Nothing was too much trouble. Generally a French hotel with a very small English clientele, the food is fantastic, different set of delights very night... More
