We booked the last couple of night of our Namibian vacation in this location due the its vicinity to the waterberg. It allowed us to complete the big five viewing. First the bad, if you want to visit the waterberg, your choices are limited to one, being getting up very, very early and travel for some hours(despite the fact that... More

Kambaku is a wonderful lodge as it excels in several aspects: beautiful rooms designed with sense for lovely details; excellent food; plenty of space all over the lodge; impressive wildlife reserve with a large number of animals; organisation of safaris and tours; or simply relax by the pool in close vicinity of the waterhole. In particular, the horseback safaries are... More

This lodge was just lovely. A warm welcome by Johannes and the rest of the staff. They have plenty activities which you can do as a guided tour, as well as on your own. Dinner is wonderful in a beautiful setting under millions of stars. Kids had a special menu. The room (we had a family room with our two... More

Kambaku was the second stay on our 3-week tour of Namibia, and certainly one of the most enjoyable ones. We arrived in the early evening after a drive from Windhoek and received a warm welcome complete with cold drinks. That evening we caught a first glimpse of African wildlife from the terrace as we observed giraffes and gnus at the... More

We were more than impressed with Kambaku! We had booked our 2 children (8 and 12) for their kids holiday program through Birte who is super efficient and so helpful. I did little research on the lodge beforehand (very unlike me) as Birte made me feel so at ease and sent me lots of info on the program. We arrived... More

After 16 days of traveling around in Namibia, we were happy to spend the last days of our holiday in Kambaku, where we could relax at the fire, swim, play pingpong, ... Our son celebrated his 9th birthday here and the family atmosphere between guests as well as with the personnel gave him an unforgettable experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kambaku; it was the perfect place for our first visit to Africa and our first sightings of the animals we had travelled so far to see. The management and staff are among the best we have encountered anywhere; with thatched roof rooms, fire pit outside for cool evenings and walking trails leading to "blinds"... More

Excellent horses, food and lodging! What more can a woman ask for? On the safari we saw four different kinds of antelops, zebras, giraffes, wilderbeast, ostriches and warthogs. And in the evening we had them for dinner :) Mia

I arranged a workshop with my Snr management team for an afternoon and as a team builder arranged dinner and accommodation as well. From the warm welcome on arrival to the fantastic meal and service and the wonderfully authentic cozy and spacious rooms the whole experience was mind blowing. I can but recommend this lodge and sing its praises. Having... More

A spendid holiday! I am a solo traveller. I chose to join the team safari in sept, plus taking up the riding and wildlife package for 9 days. Once arriving at the Windhoek airport, I was taken care of until leaving Kambaku. Worry-free. It is great that during my stay I need not worry about anything since I booked a... More
