We had a lovely week stay here. The family who runs the guest house treats you as if you're one of their own, making our stay here even more unforgettable. Food was always cooked to perfection, everyone was so very helpful and knowledgeable, and you can't beat the location or the cleanliness. Perhaps a bit overpriced, but with its reputation it's...

We stayed here for nine days in September. The hotel has a compound feel about it... enter into an open, relaxed kind of sitting area and then progress through to a courtyard and the restaurant area which also has loungers. The two best rooms are at the back of the courtyard area, on two floors with two huge beds, and...

After reading all the reviews about this place, I made the right decision! I had a wonderful 5 days in Nosy bay, staying in this lovely place which is located within a walking distance from one of the best beaches on the island. The staff are very nice and welcoming (and shy :P) Eugenie the owner is a true personality,...

Chez Eugenie is located close to the beach, but avoids the "industrial scale" of some of Nosy Be's hotels. It is a small, friendly place with nice rooms, a pleasant courtyard, and excellent food. We spend three days there as part of a ten day tour of Madagascar and would have happily stayed longer. (NB No card machines, so make...

The Best price in the area, good Food, were there are added new dishes everyday and only 100 meter to the Best Beach in Madagascar are just some of the qualities of Chez Eugéne. The rooms are very standard but the "bungalows" are great, but the reason you should choose Chez Eugéne besides the Price is the excellent host: Jean...

All the great things that Tripadvisor says about this place are true. We stayed there for a five days after travelling through Madagascar for three weeks. Jean-Marc and Eugenie are perfect hosts, knowing exactly when to entertain us and when to leave us alone. They even took us to a local club on our last night, which was the perfect...

Just returned from a 6 day visit to the beautiful Island of Nosy Be. Chez Eugenies was recommended to us by our guide on the mainland and boy did he do us right. A warm family atmosphere pervades this establishment, with Jean Mark's Gallic bonhomme and his beautiful wife Eugenie's cooking ( J M is a dab hand himself) they...

A superb guest house located near Andilana Beach, north west Nosy Be. An amazing find, with a wonderful atmosphere. The owners are the best type of host you will ever meet and made our stay so special. The food was delicious and we were given great advice on anything we wanted- in french, english, and some german too! I can...

We travelled out to Madagascar to meet up with our daughter and her friend who were visiting from Reunion. After a road trip from the capital, Tana, we crossed the water to Nosy Be and made our way to Andilana Beach and Chez Eugenie. What a find. Jean-Marc and Eugenie are both wonderful hosts and excellent chefs. We had one...

“If travelling in a group I would chose the suites. They offer a communal sitting area and are larger than the doubles. The bathroom facilities upstairs are openplan in the bedroom so your party needs to be forewarned if someone is in the shower. But there is a private bathroom downstairs anyway.”
