I've got mixed feeling about our stay here. the staff where lovely, it was great value and the location is amazing but overall the hotel was dated and a bit tired. To be more specific. tiles missing in the main pool, Some of the sunbeds were dangerously wobbly. We had a large patch of mould on our bathroom ceiling and holes in the floor. The food was OK but a bit bland and we saw a rat go in the kitchen window. Ants found in the cereal at breakfast. The decor in the restaurant/bar looked liked it had been there since the 70's. The biggest disappointment was the beach. Although the hotel make an effort to clean it up the sand was muddy at the waters edge and the sea looked very murky. There was also a lot of rubbish including nappies in the sand. Either side of the hotel beach

We stayed here for our last two nights after touring Borneo. From the moment we walked in the door we were made very welcome by the receptionist even though we were early by being invited to have a drink in the bar whilst our room was ready. These are small chalets surrounding the swimming pool and are perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. There are two swimming pools one in garden surroundings and the other in front of beach view chalets. The restaurant is excellent with good food in the evening and providing a great breakfast. The staff here are outstanding from reception to restaurant, polite with nothing to much trouble. After all our touring it was a welcome break with plenty of TLC . I would definitely recommend it.

So we decided to give this place a try for our company annual party in December 2017 . The place itself is like a cozy, charming and small tropical paradise. It is indeed a hidden gem. Unlike a giant resort whereby you have to walk miles from the pool to the room or to have your meals. Here, everything is within a few steps and I can watch the kids swimming while sitting on my patio. Perfect! We had our annual party at the canopy located closest to the beach. The set up was good and the food was ok . We catered for the welcome cocktail too in which you get canapes, wine and can beer.It goes from 5pm to 7pm. The staff was very quick to clear everything by 7pm instead of leaving it out for us to continue consuming it. What irked me most was the service staff, almost everything

This place is fine for a short stay, it is quiet and relaxing at the 2 pools. Accomodation is also fine, nothing fancy but everything you need. Price is also very fair; just eating at the restaurant is "expensive" (compared to the local restaurants/food courts). If you want to go swimmimg at the beach, you might have to walk a lot while it's low tide. I'd rather recommend the pools then...
