Thermal pools are Caldas Novas’ cure-all and starring attraction, but the resort town’s charms go beyond hot, mineral-rich water. Add pretty parks, sunshine, and Corumbá Lake, and you’ve got one of central Brazil’s most relaxing places.

Punta del Este is known as the St. Tropez of Uruguay, thanks to its beautiful beaches, upscale resorts and swanky nightclubs. The Vegas-style Conrad Casino adds to the lively entertainment scene. Ambergris Caye hovers in a holiday sweet spot: just enough amenities to make it exciting, but not so overdeveloped that you’re tripping over flip-flopped tourists.
