Also known as Coral Gardens. Short walk from public parking to beach. Beach great and typical of Grace Bay Beach. No services available. Area of reef closest to shore encircled by buoys and is a no go zone. Best snorkeling on backside of buoys away from beach. We snorkeled off a boat in two other locations. Unfortunately none of the reefs are as good as 30-40 years ago. This one is similar to reefs accessible only by boat.

I visited this reef with my family (boys 10 & 14). This was a nice experience for snorkeling. We didn't want to commit to a half day snorkel tour, so this seemed like a good alternative since you could walk in to the water and the reef was right there. The reef itself was pretty dull in color, but the fish were nice and colorful. My husband and older son were even able to swim through a school of blue fish. We bought snorkeling gear at Provo Dive shop, then came here with our sand chairs and umbrella (provided by our condo host). There was a vendor who was renting chairs, umbrellas, life jackets and snorkel gear for cash. We parked down the street and walked to the reef. The path to the beach was really nice, through lush greenery, with the ocean peaking out from the other side. We ate lunch at Somewhere, which was the perfect spot.

Great beach entry snorkel point. Wear a float and use flippers if you want to do the full circle, it is a lot of swimming if you are not used to it. The coral was amazing, with a large variety of fish. Lots too see and worth the trip. No chairs or umbrellas available so bring your own. There is a nice restaurant with bathroom.
