My husband and I had first noticed this store at the Puerto Magico marina but didn't have time to go in. We happened to be walking around Malecon & noticed this store tucked back next to the devils bar. Glad we went in. Did some tequila tasting and ended up walking out with a nice bottle of tequila and some tequila liqueurs. Christopher welcomed us in and took the time to get to know what our flavor likes and dislikes were. I'd never heard of a tequila liqueur before. We tried the espresso one and ended up leaving with 3 bottles of it. It's the perfect balance of sweet, coffee, and tequila. My husband and I have never like anejo tequila before. Christopher gave of a sip of their top shelf extra anejo and we ended up buying a bottle, it was so smooth, and worth the price. He told us about where the tequila is produced, and gave us a small history on tequila overall. We were in Puerto Vallarta for our 10year wedding anniversary and he was kind enough to engrave our bottle of tequila so we could always remember this trip. That was such a special thing for him to do. This will be one of our go to spots next time we come back to P.V.

Definitely the biggest tourist-trap area in town, but still worth a visit! A lovely, walkable oceanfront shopping and restaurant strip, with a combination of bars, restaurants and gift shops, plus street vendors and street performers hawking their wares, and a few real highlights like the pier. Worth a couple hours of strolling and a stop at the pier for photos. I'd recommend going even a block inland for better-value and better-quality restaurants, but nothing wrong with a nice oceanfront view if that's what you're after.

Great views and cool sculptures in a lively spot! I rate it 4 stars because you get hassled to buy souvenirs, listen to guitar performances for cash or stay to eat/drink in each restaurant. Saying no once does not deter the offers and some folks get angry and start slinging slurs. This is normal for the area but individuals seemed to be more pushy here.

The emblematic Vallarta boardwalk is a great recreational space to enjoy the beautiful view of the sea, sunsets, sculptures and parades. I recommend leaving in the morning to enjoy a refreshing walk. The least convenient time to go for a walk along the boardwalk is from 12pm to 3pm since the sun is very strong. If you do, I recommend putting on sunscreen and bringing a large bottle of water or buying a refreshing tuba, which they sell at all hours on the boardwalk. In the afternoon is the best time to go for a walk and enjoy the sunset, some garnacha and the Papantla flyers.

Must visit location when visiting Puerto Vallarta. Carry pesos as their conversion rates are high. Best time to visit is after 5:00 pm all vendors are setup by that time. Whole lot of activities are going on too. Not much fun during day time. Cab rates are between $7-$8 US from Hyatt Ziva.

In a beautiful Monday afternoon, our cruise line arrived Puerto Vallarta. Our taxi took us to Malecon Boardwalk. Firstly we visited Starbucks as usual for free restroom. Then we walk to the beach where is the beginnings of Malecon Boardwalk. As we stroll through its colorful mosaics, we discovered a handful of sculptures decorating it, which some were built since 1976, or as recent as 2020. Temporary art of sand and rocks formations along the beach. We also watched religious parades. Finally enjoying viewing metal sculptures and rock formations in the sunset.

Wow, Puerta Vallarta has something for everyone. For instance, the Malecon Boardwalk is such a family-friendly place. From the outside vendors offering traditional dishes streetside, to the multiple restaurants and clubs adding to the exciting nightlife. When you stroll the boardwalk depending on the time of year there is always a local showing of art, strategically stacked stones on the sand, and beautiful figurines and statues displaying the history and importance of the ocean to the local seaside community. In going year after year the City has not lost its charm and continues to please. The Cathedral Square is charming and you can sense the local pride. Love the culture and how welcome I feel as a tourist in this town!

A trip to Puerto Vallarta is not complete a stroll down the famous Malecon. The colorful boardwalk is recognized worldwide as a lively hub of art, nightlife, activities, and restaurants. Every stretch of this boardwalk is picture-perfect, lined with palm trees, sculptures and artworks.

If you’re looking for a lively stroll packed with a variety of experience options the Malecon is the place to go. We took a taxi from our accommodations to the malecon, where we were dropped off at the end so that we could leisurely wander back. There is so much to see here, including shows in the amphitheater, art displays, street vendors, and so much more. The Paplanta Bird Men show is a must see. Such a beautiful display of an indigenous tradition, where 4 men bravely climb to the top of a pole secure themselves with nothing more than a rope, and cascade themselves suspended by their ankles and waste, while playing the flute. It is a breathtaking experience that deepens your appreciation for traditional customs. Whether you’re seeking the night life excitement, or a place to sightsee this in the place to go!

So many shops and restaurants and clubs and bars line this stretch of pedestrian only pavement alongside the ocean! Everything from Senor Frog's (of course) to romantic options, tons of Farmacias (again, of course) and OXXO places, to art galleries and discount shop. Lots of sculptures dot the course and street entertainers pop up here and there, too!
