    Huge Buddha
Wow this Buddha is huge, and the whole place will take you about 1.5 hrs to walk around. It wasn’t that busy when we visited although it was around 1500 and it had been a hot day. It’s close to the Grand Palace and worth visiting if you are going to the palace too.

    Great place to visit
Highly recommend seeing this. Very interesting place, much to see including a very long Reclining Buddha. Locals say you can’t go in in shorts, at the entrance there are sarong’s/should covers etc you can borrow to enter.

Excellent place to make a visit
My husband and I arrived yesterday at the alternative entrance to the Reclining Buddha and it wasn’t crowded at all! Very few tourists to meander around the lovely and peaceful grounds, so what was quite a treat. It got far busier around the Reclining Buddha wat but still far less than when I visited about 13 years ago when myself and other Thai and foreign tourists were smushed in the corridor going past the Buddha. Maybe because we visited on a Wednesday? 200 baht pp and seems cash only. Men can seem to wear longer shorts but women must wear a longer or trousers to the knees. Shirts with sleeves as well for both.

Visit to Wat Pho temple complex in Bangkok, Thailand
The temple complex is beautiful. The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is breathtaking. It is one of the biggest reclining buddhas in the world. My family and I were on vacation in Bangkok and visited the temple complex accompanied by our tour guide, Tony, from the ICS Travel Group. It was great to have a local guide to help us with proper visiting protocol, and information from a local's point of view. He had a wealth of information on the history and meaning of the temples. My niece took the opportunity to drop coins in the 108 bronze bowls for luck.

    Amazing Temple
What a temple!!! Very very beautifull and Extravaganza! A place full of history and education at the same time. Just still beyond amazed of how people in the old days could ever made such a masterpiece like Wat Pho!

Worth a visit, could have spent more time here!
We visited Wat Phra Chetuphon with a your guide as part of an Audley Travel-arranged tour. The history behind this complex is fascinating, and the temples are awe-inspiring. Could have easily spent more time here.

    Reclining Buddha
This site really is worth a visit, to get there I would take the river taxi to Tah Tian, and then just follow everyone in front of you, it will seem like the whole world is going there too but once you are on the site you don’t feel very crowded although parts of it can be busy. If you are approached outside and told a story about the temple being closed for any reason, go in and check, you are being told so that you get a tuk tuk to somewhere else! If you don’t like being barefoot wear socks you will be required to remove your shoes at points, as you are in most temples in Thailand. The structures and buildings are lovely, and the reclining Buddha a sight to behold it is such a calm and lovely place to look around and despite not being religious we found it to be really interesting and we’re glad we came.
