Having in my city one of the most beautiful aquariums (genoa) this is definitely "small" and less beautiful from a point of mere visit and fauna. However, we are in Dubai, we are inside a Mall and they know how to do things well so the particular tanks, the organization of the visit route and the opportunity to observe different types of fish and anals at the end makes me say that it is worth it. First and immediate impression I want to say, all the animals I saw them kept well, very alive and stimulated .... Everyone will find what they like most, I have spent a lot of time observing the seahorses and the two huge crocodiles. Needless to say, the big attraction is the famous tunnel, which is not inside the aquarium but downstairs and accessible with the same ticket. It's just a tunnel of about fifty meters and that's it, but the amount of fish and the fact of exservci in between makes it suggestive and in the end you spend a lot of time there. I must say that even from outside the aquarium I often stopped to look at that huge tank with sharks, hammerfish rays and many others ... swimming with almost a hypnotic power however beautiful ... The price is reasonable .. the visit lasts about 2 hours if there is no crowd depending on how much then everyone wants to stop and look at the tanks. I didn't have the experience with penguins, honestly it seemed a little too commercial and also a little too expensive ...

We visited the Dubai Aquarium on March 21st as a family, and unfortunately, our experience started on a disappointing note. We had been informed beforehand that children under 3 could enter for free, but upon arrival, we were told the age limit was actually under 2, which we found outrageous and misleading. The aquarium itself was quite deceiving—if you’re only planning to pay for the aquarium ticket, you’re better off just viewing it from the outside. The paid entry is essentially just a tunnel walk-through, nothing more. To get a fuller experience, you must buy tickets that include the Underwater Zoo and Penguin Cove, which are located on a completely different level of the Dubai Mall. The Underwater Zoo had far more to see, but even then, the entire experience felt overpriced and underwhelming—definitely something that could have been skipped. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 1 or 2 is because of Nathaniel, an incredible staff member who truly made a difference. He went out of his way to make our visit special, providing insightful information about the aquarium and even granting us exclusive access to an area not included in our ticket. His genuine passion and kindness were the only highlights of our visit. Without Nathaniel’s human touch, the aquarium experience would have been completely forgettable. If you do visit, I highly recommend seeking out staff like him to make the most of your time!

Pretty cool aquarium given it’s inside the mall. Huge selection of fish/sharks in the tank. You can see some of the fish outside but it is worth the money to go inside. Kids will love it. If you have a recent PADI open water, you can dive inside the aquarium.

For the price point, I do feel like the place is pretty small and might not be very worth it if you are paying for a large group of people. However i must say that the boat ride and fish feeding was an interesting experience i haven’t done elsewhere! Our visit became a nearly private tour by a friendly staff member, Victor! He brought us around the entire underwater zoo and shared his knowledge of the animals with us. He definitely made the trip a lot more worth it with his enthusiasm and friendliness:)

The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo offers a fascinating glimpse into marine life with its impressive variety of species and stunning displays. However, the experience can feel crowded, and the ticket prices are a bit high for the limited time spent. While it’s an enjoyable visit, especially for families, it doesn't quite justify the cost.

Activity very expensive and not necessarily worth it. Certainly the tunnel underwater literally plunges us with sharks and fish but it is not worth 50€ per person. Especially since the shark dome is very visible from the outside in the heart of the gallery. Aquarium on the 2nd floor nothing transcendent. Very short visit of less than one hour.

Interactive exhibits, guided tours, and feeding sessions add excitement to the trip. However, some zoos could improve by prioritizing animal welfare and eliminating cramped enclosures. Overall, zoos are a valuable platform for learning and entertainment, fostering a connection between humans and the animal kingdom when managed ethically.

The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is a mesmerizing experience perfect for all ages. Located in Dubai Mall, it houses an incredible variety of marine life, from sharks and rays to colorful fish. The highlight is the massive tank, visible even from outside, which offers a jaw-dropping view of aquatic creatures. For a closer look, visitors can walk through the glass tunnel, providing a 270-degree underwater perspective. Optional experiences like cage snorkeling or shark diving add extra excitement. While ticket prices can be steep, the stunning exhibits and immersive design make it worth the splurge for marine enthusiasts and families.

We had a great visit to the aquarium and also booked the otter encounter as we’d seen videos all over TikTok of this. We arrived just before our otter encounter and were told before going in that we wouldn’t be allowed to take our own photos but we’d be able to buy them which was a shame as we wanted to take our own after seeing people doing this on social media before our visit. The encounter was so lovely and we got to hold hands with the otters and learnt a lot about them. I paid £31 for one picture from the otter encounter, to have them all was a lot of money. The aquarium itself is also amazing and has lots of different species. There’s also a bit where you can touch some baby sharks. There’s a boat that goes around but we sadly couldn’t go on as there’s a minimum age and we had our 10 month old with us which wasn’t allowed on. It was a lovely experience but be prepared to purchase pictures from any of the encounters.
