Hotels near Coral Bay

The clear waters at Coral Bay are calm and shallow, making it a popular swimming spot, especially among families and beginners. There are lifeguards on duty, and you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. Snorkelers will enjoy spotting marine life amongst the rocks around the bay, and there are watersports on offer, like windsurfing, hand-gliding, and jet skiing. Rent a paddle boat and enjoy an hour out on the water. Parking is free, and there are shower and restroom facilities. Coral Bay Avenue is lined with restaurants and cafes—visit in the summer months when the weather is warm, but on weekdays for fewer crowds.

    Not bad
Well, just a regular sandy beach with 2 support bars who served cold & hot drinks and food. If you wish a sunbed it costs €2 each and an umbrella €2.50, you can also take a bus from Paphos Tombs of the kings to Coral bay, it takes about 40 min and it costs €2 each way. Overall not bad

    Clean and good facilities
Pleasantly surprised as seen some reviews which were less than ‘good’. Sunbeds and umbrellas in abundance. We set up on the far side away from the crowded bit by the cafes and watersports. No seaweed in sight at this end, sea was so clear and lovely and warm. Cafe was good cor cool drinks and snacks. Parking easy. Nice day out!

    Nice beach
My wife and I visited Coral Bay beach recently, it’s only a ten minute walk past the strip. Two sun beds and an umbrella for 7:5 € we thought was reasonable. The water was clean with some seaweed, but walk further up the beach and there was none. There are also water sports available, also a cafe and toilets. Would visit again

    Pleasant beach
It is a beautiful sandy beach with clean, clear water and less confusion than other beaches on Paphos. The warm enough water, the easy parking, the restaurant of the establishment is not the best, but you just have to go a little 'away from the beach to find better. 2 sunbeds and umbrella 7.5 euros, as in almost all other beaches in Cyprus.

    Beautiful but dated beaches
Very popular and definitely worth seeing, nice connected by a bus service n 615 that connects the Port to Coral bay (Recommended the penultimate stop) beaches equipped with showers always and bars but very dated, could invest on sunbeds and umbrellas. Fixed price 2.50 per sunbed , offers ideal water sports for those with children , a nice overview. Toilets and changing rooms a little too old. At the center of the basin there is a lido with ball music. For those who want tranquility better the side parts

    Lovely sandy beaches
This review is about Laourou Beach, which is the second of the Coral Bay beaches you come to when heading out of Paphos and is situated next to the bus terminus and the Corallia Beach Hotel. My family and I have been to both beaches and prefer this one because it seems a little quieter, although still busy, and we enjoyed the swimming more there. Most people travel to the beach by bus or taxi. For convenience, groups may prefer the taxi, although it will set you back €25-€35 each way, depending on which beach you go to and whereabouts in Paphos you travel from. Please note that, in summer, the taxi company may ask you to phone them 30 minutes to an hour before you would like picking up on your return journey. The buses are frequent but allow for lots of stops and most tourists will need to change buses at Tombs of the Kings station. The Coral Bay beaches are popular in the Paphos area because they are sandy, whereas most other beaches are pebbly or rocky. The water is also calmer, which is particularly important for those with children. On arrival at Laourou Beach, you’ll probably want a sunbed. There are plenty of these before around 11am, but it does get busier. You will be approached to pay for the sunbeds, which, as others have said, are €7.50 for two (including an umbrella). I don’t think this is bad, because they are then yours for the day if you want them. There are a few rocks around the beach, but they aren’t problematic and do attract fish. In addition, there is a small ‘island’ of rocks (see photo), which I think may have been put there as a breakwater, although the rocks are natural in appearance. These are very interesting for snorkelers as they attract a variety of fish. Most of this stretch of water is shallow enough for an adult to stand in, but there is a brief part where you cannot. The water is also choppier on the far side of the ‘island’, which backs up my breakwater theory! There is a restaurant beside the beach and the staff will ask you if you want a ‘lite bite’ or a full meal. The ‘lite bite’ menu is limited but we enjoyed it because we were happy with burgers and chips for lunch. Service is friendly and quick and the food, although simple, was tasty and inexpensive. There is also a shop which sells chilled bottled water, soft drinks and beer. This was very useful for when your own drinks have lost their chill. I think it also sells snacks and beach toys, but don’t quote me on that! The toilets, showers and changing area are together in the same block as you leave the beach. A tip is to make sure you wash the sand off you and dry off before going for a bus or taxi as you may not be allowed to travel if you’re covered!

    Beautiful.
Traveled from Kato Paphos shingle beaches to this beautiful beach, just 25 mins down (up?) the coast. The beach is accessible either down a slope or steps. Plenty of parking if you drive (we had a taxi). Café/kiosk serving snacks/drinks/ice creams each end of the beach and watersports area too. We hired a pedalo, €35 for 1hr. The beach is lovely, the water is warm and quite shallow. The sand is red hot so beware!! We hired beds, 2 beds & parasol €7.50, cash only. It’s well worth a visit!

    Coral bay glistening beach
Coral bay is an extremely busy beach and is very wide and large. It has a little coffee shop on top of the hill and service there is on point and the whole beach has plenty of sun beds and parasols charged at €2.50 per item. However it can be a little bit difficult to get to the water as the sand is excruciatingly hot until you hit the water. You are able to do water sports as well like jet skis and the magic carpet all ranging from €20-60Overall the beach is pretty affordable though and the water is very pretty and glistens in the sun.

    Bus to Coral Bay
We took the bus to Coral Bay and was pleasantly surprised by how many restaurants & bars were on the strip before reaching the beach. The beach was clean and there was plenty of space for those not wanting to rent a sun lounger or parasol (we took our own beach mats). There's a bar at each end so I'd suggest taking your own snacks, a couple of changing cubicles but the toilets were awful! Plenty of parking and water sports activities available.

    Crystal waters
Well worth a visit to this sandy beach. Lots of parasols & sun beds for hire (7.50 for 2 beds and umbrella). A bit busy at times and lots of boat / jet ski activity made it less peaceful. Nevertheless a lovely beach to visit. Stayed there all day twice. Oh and a steam you can dam - family favourite activity when we had kids with us.
