Milton Foster Douglas, 1826 - 1899 built this house, with the help of his father, John Douglas, 1793 - 1870, one of the original settlers in Caledonia. Milton and his wife, Eliza, raised 8 children in the home which remained in the family until it was bequeathed to the North Queens Heritage Society in the 1970s. The house now has 6 permanent display rooms, a seasonal exhibition space, library and archives. (Jun 2022)
