Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
Love it, great fresh food, from fresh produce and fish to cured meats, unexpected cuts and flavors, wish I could bring it all home!
Lots of art stores and unique fashion, so enticing to try and buy, could not resist!
Is very good place, for walking and for conection with the nature, is good to for pictures to the flowers, and inside the place, has a aviary, is good place, and is not expencive. I like the place, principal for the pictures.
Canadians games are great value for a sporting event. Perfect for families. It is well priced and affordable to take kids, there is a kid's section with bouncy houses to keep kids entertained if the game gets too long for them. At the end of the game, kids are invited to the field to run the bases. We had a...
"Teapot Hill - longer than you think, shorter than you want!"
reviewed 6 July 2017 by AgOtter
Camping at Cultus Lake, there is lots to do. However if a little exercise is in order and some beautiful moss growth cedar forest is interesting, this is the hike for you. Staring off its a mild grade mostly up a overgrown forest service road, then at the wooden sign marking the turn off to Teapot Hill view point things...
The food. The atmosphere. The people: owners, chef, servers, cooks. Every aspect is stellar. Casual lunch. Business lunch. Family dinner. Work celebration. Romantic dinner. Every type of special occasion - or even if you are jonesing for some bison or salmon - this is the best place. Take your visitors from out of town. Hope them the best and ongoing...
My wife and I last day of our visit to Vancouver -could not resist a return visit for lunch on a glorious sunny day as we drove out to the airport . The location above Vancouver is to die for . Always great food and wonderful staff .
In September we were visiting our daughter and her family in Burnaby and decided to have a lunch at the Banana Leaf Restaurant. We were meeting an old friend who had lived in Asia at onetime! He recommended this restaurant and we ordered several courses. We were not disappointed! Everything was freshly cooked and delicious! What was a highlight was...
We had dinner in this restaurant.
We had an absolutely tasty soup as a starter and two vegetarian dishes as main course.
If it was not for the food than the 5 stars would also be earned for the heartwarming and outstanding service :-)
Was a pleasure to dine here.
"A great 3 day stay after long flight from the UK"
reviewed 2 weeks ago by Kenneth M
My wife and I arrived at the Holiday Inn at just after 9-45pm on Thursday evening 1st November after a 10 hour flight from the UK. Checking in was easy and we were upgraded to the 8th Floor. After a good nights sleep we enjoyed a great breakfast on both the 2nd and 3rd November. We also visited the restaurant...
Great location for medical appointments to VGH and or UBCHospital Close to bus service, pharmacy. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. Nice atmosphere for seniors. Appreciated the medical discount. I would recommend Park Inn to my senior friends
The Shaughnessy is especially ideal for long stays in Vancouver. You won't find a place to compare in price, AND with a million dollar view on the north side. I've stayed there three times for six months at a time and it's central, clean and quiet. It's the only place I'd think of booking when doing a long stay in...
