In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
This small museum is a find indeed. Over 2 floors it covers a lot of aspects about language, with many interactive displays. We spent nearly 2 hours in there but still couldn't complete it all! Very educational and very suitable for children as well.
We enjoyed the Rubens exhibit. Learned a lot about his life and his painting of many royal families. We felt that it was a little highly priced. It took us less than an hour to see the entire exhibit. The museum only features one special exhibit at a time. The Rubens exhibit ends January 14th.
This was our favorite meal while we were in Paris. The staff was wonderful and friendly and the food was outrageous! Every course was delicious and we even mopped up every morsel with bread so our plates were clean when they went back to the kitchen. We really enjoyed our waiter who was really nice and explained every course and...
Thanks to TripAdvisor community we could know about this little wonder. Delicious food, with excellent ingredients that you can tell were carefully chosen. And the reception was fantastic as well by the brothers who own the place and their team.
With so many favorites to return to, plus those among our new discoveries to try again, plus new names and recommendations, we rarely leave the apartment without a plan and reservation.
Today we took a long walk in the 6th, following an exhibit at the Luxembourg Museum. We passed this place, at the top end of a small street...
Great location with easy access to all the tourist hot spots. Immaculate rooms and the bathroom was just fabulous. What really made the hotel were the staff though, always so friendly and keen to help, we were even given a complimentary glass of champagne for my birthday... an all round excellent stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Da Vinci this week. We spent 5 nights there and could not ask for more personalized service, wonderful breakfast and a private visit to the spa every day. Helene and the Da Vinci staff treated us like friends and family and helped with everything we could need. The room was so perfect...
The hotel is quaint, clean, comfortable, and incredible well located. However, what impressed me the most was the wonderful service and the great attitude of the staff. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating.
We really enjoyed staying at Victoire & Germain. It was the perfect location with a wonderful staff! The room had all the essentials and was very clean and modern. We will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. Everyone working at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. The room was ready when we arrived and we were able...
This hotel is tres charming in style and friendliness of everyone who works there. The rooms are small but easy to stay in. There are some suites. Breakfast is best to catch up with your friends and family. Walking distance to local restaurants and lots of shopping. This will remain as our go to hotel for pleasure and business.
