With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
"Now split between 2 sites, apparently; worth seeing"

On our recent visit here, we learned that they have apparently sub-divided the museum (somewhat) between 2 sites; this one and one around 8 km outside of Paris. My only minor complaint is that they appear to have relocated some of the sculptures formerly on display here to the 2nd location.
You can readily access the museum via the Varenne...
"Extensive collection, worth seeing, check on an audio tour"

We visited this museum after lunch, having spent the morning in another museum in town. We had been here before quite a while ago, but did not have much time then and so did not really get to see much then. So I was looking forward to our visit. Note that you have to hike about 1/4 mile from the...

this is the place to be in Paris. A very simple Chapel almost hidden at the end of a long pathway from the street. No crowds of people - just tose wh want to be there for their faith. Very moving top us. Choosing between here and Natre Dame would be any easy choice for us.
Superb meal for me and my wife on a recent trip to Paris with first class service and help choosing the right meal, every dish was magnificent especially the apple tart to finish, I wanted another straight away!!
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, not cheap but well worth the money
It's one of those places, do a few things well and forget the rest. The menu has enough items that everyone can find something, but is short enough for a small kitchen to master. The keeper's fantastic and the prices moderate. A strong recommend here.
We had the most delicious meal at Au Bon Accueil. Laurent was most accomodating and the food was a true delight -- the octopus and the pork were the best we had ever eaten. Looking forward to a return visit!
This was round the corner from where we were staying. It was a delight: traditional French food with interesting twists. I had wild mushrooms in a pumpkin purée and pork belt with caramel. Both first rate. Charming service and lovely to meet the owner/ chef. Strongly recommended!
Earlier this August, I visited Paris and stayed at a really beautiful design hotel- the Le Narcisse Blanc, Paris! Located at the heart of Paris, with a historic neighbourhood, Le Narcisse Blanc Paris was such an aesthetically pleasing establishment! And it was very Parisian- with their fine, artistic details everywhere and romantic ambiance! I definitely look forward to a second...
I stayed at Hotel Signature during a recent trip to Paris, and I could not have chosen a better hotel!
First the location - it is in a very nice neighborhood, and I felt safe walking around even at night. The Sevres-Babylone metro station is literally a couple of minutes walk from the Hotel. The La Grande Epicerie is right...
My son (age 7) and I stayed for three nights in September in their twin room. The room itself was charming and quiet. We had breakfast once at the hotel and it was simple but delicious with a selection of bread, croissants, meat, cheese, cereal etc...I read other reviews saying that the breakfast area is small, but it wasn't like...
10-15 minutes walking distance to Eiffel Tower.
You can walk to this hotel if you drop off from Ligne 2 of Le Direct bus from Paris-CDG airport, which takes about 20 minutes. 17 Euros/ticket as compared to taxi, 55 Euros.
Room is slightly small but clean and modern as compared to other hotels of the area.
There is also a...
Loved the hotel, staff was excellent- friendly and helpful with everything from recommendations to booking taxis and checking on flights. Location is fantastic and everything is in walking distance. The hotel was clean and well maintained, breakfast selection was great and staff friendly each morning.
