The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
This was my second visit and I enjoyed it as much as the first. It is in a lovely building, in English and all the assistants were vety helpful and polite. The tour itself is really very interesting and you do get the chance to smell such wonderful perfumes. We were also given free samples with our purchases and askec...
Intrigued by the symbolism I stopped here. First floor was nothing special, some rooms with paintings, couldn't get close to most of them. There was barely an explanation text and it was only in French. Then the 2nd and 3rd flor is where it got me. Huge paintings with so much detail. They were amazing. There was a guide also...
Find out this little gem in the reviews from TripAdvisor, you will be surprised. Runned by the owner (sorry I didn't get his name) and were treated five stars. We ordered the burrata, truffle ravioli, eggplant pasta and tiramisu citron. Walaa….. everything excellent. Since it was our anniversary they gifted us with some limoncello. Would definetly go back and recommend.
I have had the pleasure of dining at all the 3 Stars in France and this is their equal. Everything from service to presentation and food was of the highest standards. I am sure Michelin will agree upon their further review.
There is not a single negative thing about this place! Make sure to make a reservation. The place is cosy, elegant with friendly vibes. Eric the owner is deeply committed to each customer and very passionate about his cuisine and each ingredient he serves. The quality of the products is outstanding and the flavors just explode in your mouth. I...
On a solo work trip to paris - happy to stumble across this place and be brave enough to go in!
it’s not a restaurant- but you can get a decent cheese / charcuterie board for a reasonable price and - with a little chatting about what you like you will be offered a blind tasting of three wines.
Lovely boutique hotel, a moment from Moulin Rouge. A fantastic place to stay with lots of history and amazing staff. On arrival you get a tour before being taken up to your room. Each room, whilst quite cosy, is unique. Great cocktails. If you wish to use the spa (exclusive use for an hour), recommend you book in advance. We...

Having never stayed in Paris previously we used Trip Advisor and selected Hotel Saint- Marc and what a lovely surprise. Nestled in a quiet Street in th No.1 Arrondissement which if you dont mind walking is really close to lots to see, 20 minutes to the Louvre 3 good restuarants within 50 metres. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the...
I thought this hotel was great. Not sure what to expect in the out of the way part of town, but was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was clean, staff friendly, there was snacks set out all day long, breakfast was nice (even hot scrambled eggs). THe coffee was one drawback - not so great. It was from a machine that...
This hotel is truly a gem in the heart of Paris. Convenient location (an easy 15 minute walk to the Louvre), a quiet street, a small but nicely appointed room (ask for room 309), excellent shower, comfortable bed, outstanding breakfast buffet and a very reasonable price given the location and amenities. Speaking of amenities, this hotel also has a free...
