Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
The museum is a great place to visit and located next to the marina. After you're done visiting the museum go to the rooftop terrace on the 4th floor for a drink and/or light snack. It has great views of the marina, sea, and city.
We finally got some time to go enjoy the beach. We spent the whole afternoon on the beach. Went to the supermarket to stock up with beers and snacks. The water is so refreshing. It was quite cloudy when we went but there was part the sun was amazing. I just love the beach and the atmosphere here. There are...

Great station for arriving at the water front and the more interesting areas of Barcelona like Las Ramblas. Quiet and seemingly lesser used. Not as fancy as others but much more useful. In the process of renovation and already looking good.
Waited in the queue for around 30 minutes so wasn't too bad and they have cold air fans in the line as well as umbrellas for shade. Cost 11euros per person single journey to Montjuic hill. The ticket is only for that journey so if you then wanted to take the cable car to Montjuic Fort, that is another 12euros...
Looking for a place to have lunch during our bike tour through Barcelona we ended up on this nice terrace right at the beach.
The lady who helped us was really nice and suggested a fresh pineapple juice that we really appreciated.
The sandwiches were very tasteful and large enough in size to still our hunger after the bike ride.
Looked up the reviews about this place, wasn't disappointed. Tatiana the waitress was really patient with us in translating the menu in English and French. Staff was very friendly, the food was good. Only improvement they could make is making the menus easier to understand. There's a tapas menu and a menu of the day but some meals come with...
This place is spectacular! The Special dish of the day was red tuna with pistachio and it was divine. We've got also foigras salad and something else and everything was really great! Even the dessert. Really great experience. We'll come back for sure.
I stayed at the hotel during the month of July.
The location is good but about 15 min from Las Rambla and about a 20 min walk from the beach (next to the W hotel).
The staff is very nice and willing to assist. The hotel is quite modern and they have a really cool roof bar and pool (very...
Front desk welcoming attitude. Fabulously designed room. Cool corner Sea view suite. How lovely :):):)
Little improvement is required at breakfast, meaning setting tables and clearing them.
Very friendly bar and pool are staff.
They happen to be conveniently located to two of my most favourable beach front restaurants. I keep the them secrets.
And no, they don’t pay me...
Great hotel for 2*, 2 minutes from Barceloneta underground, great for exploring that area of Barcelona. Just across the road from El Born.
The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and new, beds comfortable, air conditioning ok. For the price this was a bargain hotel in a perfect location. Breakfast ok, coffee sadly not very good. But can live with...
I can only recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the room is modern and clean and the location is just amazing. Very close to the beach and also to city center with the night life. Many great restaurants and bars around plus a great view over W hotel. The AC was not working that's why I rate 4...
Clean room, quiet, nice buffet breakfast. Reception staff friendly and able to provide good local information. Drinks available from vending machine in reception. Need to get a key for room safe from reception. Recommend for couples. One block away from Metro (barceloneta stop) which gives access to the city.
