Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
"Imposing and solemn building for Italy's supreme court"
reviewed 4 weeks ago by VoyagerAimerSourire
This building is in itself already very big, but it appears even more so given the adjoining flat and wide Piazza Cavour ensures there are no neighboring buildings competing with it for attention. One one side is written 'Corte di Cassazione' as this building is the seat of Italy's highest court.
The museum is very near the Coliseum, just a short 5-minute walk from the Coliseum subway station. As some reviewers noted, all the signage is in Italian; however, they offer an English audio guide on loaner iPods for free (just leave your ID as a deposit). Interesting to see the WW2 perspective from the Axis side.
The Chiesa dei Sacro Cuore is a lovely church. We were able to have a private Mass there before it opened one afternoon. The church is in need of some repairs but has a beautiful rose window in the back. The church also houses a museum on purgatory with a few documents.

We had such a lovely lunch at Vulio. It was a peaceful haven after the crowds at the Vatican museum. The food and recommended wine were delicious. The service was excellent. He was friendly and professional, explaining the menu items and wine options to us. He also gave us great local tips. We highly recommend a visit and wish we...
Debora, her son and her sons friend were so inviting. Greeting us at the door and poured wine and started passing around appetizers. Your glass was never empty they kept an eye on your wine to make sure your glass was always full. It was soo much fun to meet other guest from different states/countries. Debora’s food was amazing! She...
Delicious sandwich, really well cooked and put together and a great glass of wine. Couldn’t ask for much more. It’s really well priced and just next to the Vatican so perfect for rebuilding your stamina after touring St. Peter’s!
The hotel is very nice and clean. Rooms are unique but very comfortable. Location is good, walking distance to Piazza Navona, Piazza del Poppolo yet set away from hustle and bustle. The breakfast was good with a decent selection of items. Lobby bar was small but nice for a drink before or after dinner. Front desk gave good recommendations for...
