Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
Visited here on our last day in Rome for a quiet afternoon... really pleasant. Not the prettiest park in the world, but it was surprisingly quiet for Rome (although you know it's good when you're surrounded by locals) and some lovely scenery. Would recommend if you're looking to get out of the manic of the city for a couple hours.
"This is no longer the American Catholic Church in Rome"
reviewed 2 weeks ago by AFHJ
If you are looking for the American church (and papal Audience tickets), the American parish is now St. Patrick on Via Boncompagni 31 - side street near American Embassy. Their website is stpatricksamericanrome.org. So now that the nuns have gotten rid of the American parish, perhaps it is back open again.
The should not say it's gluten free as they do not assure you there is no crossed contaminación (And there is a lot with the spoons), so i don't why they announce It like gluten free. My girlfriend could taste one and liked It.
This was the first gelateria I ever visited in Rome, and it holds a special place in my heart. When I visited, it was surrounded by Italian families and gave off an authentic, neighborhood vibe. They do not serve cones, only cups, and the shop itself is small and cute.
I ordered the chocolate and ginger flavors, both of which...
I´m so happy I found this spot. I love having huge breakfast to have energy for the rest of the morning and this place provided me so. Foof was excellent and portion generous, for, I would say reasonale price. If you like this kind of breakfast, don´t miss this experience. I will come back.
Good fish and very genuine Sicilian tasty plates.
Prices are bit on the high scale, considering location at the beginning of trastevere.
I would include an additional option on cheaper house wine to reduce the overall bill, and it will then be 5 stars.
Our stay at fabrizio's place was wonderful. The appartement was clean and comfortable! Fabrizio offered us free breakfast which was homemade by his mother. The host was very friendly and helpful. All in all a very pleasant experience.
"Great staff, but if we had to go back to Rome, we would choose another place to stay"

I will start by saying that the staff was great! Very helpful and really nice. I was specially surprised by the person in charge of the dining room, because he took really good care of the gluten free diet, providing a basket with different types of cookies and cereal. Also, it was practical to be near Trastevere station and have...
An old-fashioned hotel but with the glory of ancient times what makes it cosy and pleasant to stay.
The pool is very clean an good. When you visit Rome in summer, you need a pool to cool off occasionally.
The breakfast is good with a great view over Rome : very romantic by the way !
We found the distance...
I will not lie. Its not a fabulous Hotel but the price is right. You get what you pay for. I do not imagine this hotel expects long stay holiday makers and certainly not families. It is just not that type of hotel. In my opinion. So the location. Its up a side street in a residential area NOT in the...
