Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
We visited the cemetery last weekend and it was a breathtaking experience. The individual graves and artistic skill are awesome. This was like visiting a museum of masterpieces, being mindful of them being graves.
The area is kept spotlessly clean and staff very helpful.
Free admission was a bonus.
We would highly recommend this visit
Situated in Porta Nuovo the richest district in any city in Europe. The countries tallest sky scraper is situated here . Also not to be missed a pair of residential towers , Bosco Verticale , which have over 900 trees growing on the balconies.

A 10 minute walk from the Marriott AC, My Prime is located in an area with many dining options. Their ranking had to be earned by way of sustained superior performance..... and our dinner was another example of their excellence.
In addition to great tasting food and attentive service, My Prime does the little things well. The butter for our...
Very good choice for a healthy Vegan lunch or dinner!
I’m not a Vegan and I can assure that this burgers will surprise you even if you are used to normal burgers.
Very good fries and dips (try the Truffle dip, is just gorgeous).
I have tried 3 burgers, my favorite is Garibaldi!
The Berna is five minutes walk from Stazione Centrale, even trundling a suitcase. That's a good start. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned but comfortable and the staff are really outstanding. The corporate culture of helpfulness and friendliness reaches everyone of them. Check in and out were efficient but not abrupt, and a complaint about a list drains smell in...

Nice well appointed gym on the top floor with a beautiful view of the city skyline from the adjacent balcony (only issue was one elliptical, need to add another) and helpful attendants.
