Norrmalm is Stockholm’s most central and busiest neighborhood. It’s home to the main shopping street, Drottninggatan, and to Stockholm icons like the Sergels Torg glass obelisk, the famous Hay Market with its Carl Milles sculptures, and the Hötorget Skyscrapers, a sight on every other Stockholm postcard. Norrmalm is also home to Sweden’s most traditional department stores Nordiska Kompaniet and Åhléns City juxtaposed with Stockholm’s most modern shopping mall, Mood Stockholm. Visitors to this area get to experience the unique Swedish philosophy of protecting cultural heritage while also staying on top of fashion innovation and modern architecture.
Kungstragarden Park was close to our hotel and on our way to Gamla Stan. Very nice park with a beautiful colorful cathedral, water, restaurants and cafes. Beautiful place for a stroll in the heart of Stockholm.
During our stroll-by, we took shelter under the entry here during another one of those frequent drenching rains. It was late, the door was open and a service was in progress. It seemed really disrespectful to wander in and nose around, camera in hand, playing the ugly tourist, so we observed quietly (invisibly) from the entry area.

The food was an excellent rendition of Swedish classics. While most dishes excelled, some were a little odd. The desserts were all delicious – yes, I tried a ll four – and the meal was perfectly paced. Combine this experience with a great sommelier that brings excellent wine pairings and you have an enjoyable evening (except for that person with the...

Another fantastic visit this week. This place never seems to let us down down. They serve what they call mid-size tapas dishes and you order food me after the other. The tartare is ludicrously good as is the chocolate dessert...or the apple. Rumble come to mention it. The wine list is superb but oddly presented by icing you an iPad...

The restaurant is very nice and clean. The fish disk were all fantastic, fresh, well cook with variety of great wine. Excellent service.. not far from Skeppsholmen where you see the great view. I definitely go back if i visit Stockholm. Recommend to book in advance especially on Saturday.
The hotel is a good size - large enough for all you need but with a very good personal service. Design and decor very good with some interesting art works. Service great and nothing too much trouble. You know you are being looked after well when you are leaving before breakfast is served and the staff are making sure you...
Strongly recommend to chose Grand Hotel of Stockholm, especially water view rotunda rooms. Unique atmosphere and possibility not to have problems during your stay abroad. Instantaneous high level service in all departments of the hotel. Will return there for sure!
This beautiful hotel is centrally located in Stockholm, near the famous opera and walking distance to the Grand Hotel. I was attending a conference at the Grand Hotel and they were fully booked, no worries, I found this golden treasure.
I arrived early and left my bag and prebooked with my credit card. When the conference and dinner were over,...
Stayed here twice in the last month for work & it’s very good. Very friendly front desk staff, modern design throughout & a bar to be admired. Breakfast choices are excellent, whether you want traditional Swedish or something more full English or continental.
It probably could be called a little hip but it’s not pretentious and even my hugely uncool...
