Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
Nice city park, where you can jog, rent a pedalo or just relax. We went there to find the resident monitor lizards we were told lived there. And we were not disappointed. A cool experience to see these beautiful dinosaur like animals in their natural habitat.
This is the opposite of a big or flashy tourist attraction – which is part of its appeal for me! For 50 baht, you gain access to this modest complex of pavilions and gardens, which was the home of former politician and scholar MR Kukrit. There are private artefacts, photos, books and paintings dotted around. Many are fading (I wonder...
Wat Yannawa is a temple located along the Chao Phraya River. It’s also located about 5 minutes from the Saphan Taksin BTS station. It’s free to go in.
What’s unique about this temple is that there is a boat located inside the complex.
The complex is very beautiful and very peaceful. You are free to walk around the entire complex....
"Surprising "Find" Near the Sathon Central Business District"

Like others who have written reviews, we came across this site by chance.
One day while "free" exploring in Bangkok (no destination in mind), we decided to walk along a khlong across the street (Charoenkrung Road) from Wat Yannawa. We had an interesting walk and eventually came to a major street (Charoen Rat Road) underneath an expressway overpass. Looked like...
When I was looking up restaurant options, I was surprised to discover that the Colonnade was the number one restaurant in all of Bangkok. We surmised that it was most likely due to the fact it is located in the Sukhothai hotel and therefore gets lots of reviews from business travelers or is because of the Sunday brunch. Either way,...

Exellent restaurant. The food is delicious. Everything was very very tasety and beautifully served.
The staff wes very very nice.
. You should go there.
מסעדה מעולה ברמה גבוהה מאוד. מחירים סבירים מאוד. הארוחה היתה חווייה נהדרת.
I’ve been to this wonderful restaurant a few times since they opened a few years ago. I’d have reviewed this one long time ago. Anyway this place is part of a great chef, Mr. Lorain’s establishment. It’s very well run by his daughter, Marine.
Before my last visit in June’18 I’d say their menu were a bit confusing. The first...
A good place for sushi and rolls. Variety of menu to choose from. Lots of alcohol drinks too especially sake. Friendly atmosphere and great service from staff. But parking is limited. You have to park along the busy street.
The hotel is good value for money, we stayed there for 5 nights, the room is spacious, the bed is great, we experienced no noise, the lobby is beautiful and they have a bar with quite interesting cocktails. The pool is busy, but looks quite good as it's the 'infinity' type. The location is good as well, the hotel being...
Very good value and rooms are good size, clean and well appointed. Service is first rate nd helpful, only complaint they couldn't accommodate a later check out, but did give us a room upgrade. Included breakfast very nice, buffet and/or al a carte.
The hotel itself was very nice, exotic and well maintained. The service was very good and elegant. I could see that they trained the staff really well. The breakfast was also very satisfying. I will def be back!
It was not so great after you have visit cape Nidhara in Hua Hin. The hotel has a beautiful poolside. The breakfast is great with amicable staffs. The weak point is the room is small and location is inconvenient.
Hotel was lovely and very spacious we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and amenities.
Hiroki at reception was great!
A bit disappointed with the concierge, we wanted somewhere to go for breakfast, he recommended Chinatown, but in the morning it was closed and we were looking for something closer by. We asked him for recommendations on...
