While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
The Grand Palace is a stunning complex of buildings and temples but it is absolutely packed with tourists, which makes the experience a little less magical. Also it is painfully hot in Bangkok and you are required to wear long pants so you will definitely be a little miserable because of that. I recommend bringing lots of water.
There are a lot of tourists here but once you're there you can see why. Beautiful grounds and architecture. I was there 26/01/19 and there were quite a few areas that were closed or under renovation. Still worth it.
Not to sound too ignorant, but as a Christian it just didn't resonate with me like it may with some. It has some really cool architecture and great for pictures though. As I said with the others. Fellas, make sure you wear trousers, ladies, dress moderately.
After a long day of visiting the temples in the area we decided to have dinner at The Deck. We made a reservation beforehand but arrived earlier than the reserved time so we waited in the bar on the top floor. The view was amazing from here as we enjoyed the sunset. After about 1 hour of waiting in the...
Konnichipan, close to the famous Khao San Road is my favourite bakery in Sam Sen area in Bangkok. The products they offer are always very fresh, delicious and clean. The prices are very good. I can only recommend going there, choosing an almond croissant and an americano, and take a seat next to the window. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Came there to have green curry and was not disappointed! Very good and when I finished I wished I had more. Located right next to royal palace and next to boat to wat Arun makes it a great lunch place!
I had Americano and tiramisu frappe. Both were high quality. Service amazing. Beautiful wall with Bangkok map. Coming back for breakfast or brunch as they gave extensive breakfast menu that looks delicious!!!
My wife and I celebrated our wedding aniversary with a trip to Thailand. While exploring the many atractions of Bangkok, we paused for lunch in this pleasant, tidy cafe. This is a place that strikes you with a homely, welcome atmosphere the moment you enter. The staff is polite and helpful in a sincere way, the food we ordered was...
We stayed 3 days in the Phranakorn-Nornlen hotel. It was so pleasant to have a peaceful place in Bangkok, as this an amazing but also very busy city. The staff is smiley and lovely. The room was really cool with a nice view and we loved so much the breakfast.
In the south of the hotel, there is a lot...
We had a room on level 5 (top floor) with a view of the river and city. It was beautiful and well decorated. They even gave us a cake and towel art for our anniversary. The staff at reception are always so friendly and willing to help, especially Kevin, and the breakfast is delicious. This hotel is within minutes of...

My stay at Villa Phra Sumen was lovely and very comfortable. They even upgraded us. The location was convenient and special thumbs up to working staff there who were always helpful.
The room was vintage style with real comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom.

We are currently staying in this hotel. Our late check in at 3am was smooth and quick. After a long and tiring journey finally we were able to sleep in a nice and comfortable bed. The room is cozy and of good size with a good size flat-screen TV. The wash basin, bathroom and toilet are all in separate rooms....
