Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.

reviewed 4 weeks ago by Rim D
When you enter in this cafe the first thing hitting you is the colours surrounding through the carpets, Iznik tiled small table, the cups. It has an authentic touch, we can feel the history of this building, it makes me feel like I'm jumping in the past, I just fell in love with this place. It's perfect to relax over...
"Not surprising that it is not as impressive an interior as other more well known mosques"
reviewed 16 October 2017 by KS&HC
Near to the Grand Bazaar this is a huge mosque. Its difficult to appreciate its size and certainly photograph it as it is surrounded by the streets and university wall. An good interior with its decorated walls and ceilings.
If you are in Eminönü for some reason and need great coffee Caffeetopia is a great little place to stop. With friendly staff and a long list of coffees to chose from, you won’t be disappointed. If you are not in the mood for caffeine there are a few healthy choices such as freshly squeezed juice mixes. Even though I...
Found after reading about the shop on different forums. Four generations of Turkish delight makers. The owner spoke little English however he was very helpful as we spoke even less Turkish. We were able to try the delight and he explained how it was made upstairs with natural ingredients and had been for 152 years ( some people use artificial...

reviewed 4 days ago by Gregory K
very nice, clean hotel and the location is so close to the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace. The staff are really helpful and friendly. A good choice if looking for a hotel in the Fatih area.
Thank you for making our stay so pleasant! Extremely helpful staff, always smiling and so promt! Beautiful place, great location, we rent a car but we didn't actually need it, trams and metro are few minutes away from the hotel .. it was definitely excellent choice!
I have stayed at HHK for over 2 weeks with my sister 5 months ago. But I still miss its comfy bed, amazing view of Istanbul from my room window, Gervec bread that is served every morning with cheese, jam, eggs and many things. It was the best experience I had with a hotel. Even so better than 5 stars...
Almost everything in this hotel was very good, it was clean, breakfast buffet was nice also with a lot of options to try
Except for the single room size it was small and the staff although they provide you with good service but they dont smile
The hotel rooms were on the small side but were of good quality and are fairly sound proof. It was also clean and well kept. The shower was spacious and excellent.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast could be better. It wasn’t great and felt quite repetitive every day.
