Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
Owned by the Koç family, this place is great to see the collections of cars, sailboats, enjoy a tasteful lunch and experience different cultures. It is more like a National History Museum. Do not skip this place if you are traveling in Istanbul. You need minimum 2-3 hours to see the whole place. Enjoy!
Located on a small hill in Karakoy district, this high tower was used to control the Bosphorus and ships movement. You will have a magnificent view of the city that if you can reach the top. Hence the long queues starting early morning it's recommended to go there as early as possible.
This pedestrian street is definitely worth a visit if only to sit at one of the many cafes and watch the world go by. We stayed close by and went there most nights to grab something to eat. The street was always bustling from morning to night, weekdays and weekends.

My wife and I recently visited the amazing city of Istanbul for vacation and we went to Babel for our first dinner based on previous Tripadvisor reports. We were not disappointed! The small restaurant features open air seating in a busy but not-too-busy area near Taksim square. The first impression upon nearing the restaurant is the very cool vibe based...

Meze By Lemon Tree is an amazing restaurant in Istanbul, located opposite the Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah. My wife and I opted for the degustation menu and were treated to a fine selection of cold / warm starters, main and desert to share. The sea bass ceviche was and spicy smoked aubergine were stand out starters and so flavoursome. We...
The hotel itself is really cosy and designed. The staffs are one of the most helpful and knowledgable that I have ever met. The location is in the city and not far to walk to anywhere. The room was so noce with city's view.
The breakfast could be a bit better consider option was too little. But overall is 10/10
This modern and stylish hotel is perfectly situated within a few minutes walk from the Galatea tower, the main shopping district, the tram line and lovely restaurants on the water.
Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely breakfast, and newly refurbished boutique rooms.

Amazing service, staff were very welcoming and spoke English which is a bonus. Room was spacious, clean and very well detailed, you feel like you are in a certain era. Breakfast was good too, and the area lovely. Location was great 5 to 7 minutes walking distance to Taksim square and Istiklal street.
