Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
Fantastic museum, much finer than we had expected. It has developed into being a must when visiting Istanbul. Steam engines, cars, locomotives, racings boats, all in pristine condition; a submarine that you can enter, old workshops and reconstructed shops of all kinds, pedagogic explanations of how everything works including modern kitchen equipment. And a lot more.Highly recommended!
there are many nice things to see here....it's not a big space but we must support places like this so they can survive....the photographic exhibition of Yildiz Moran was fabulous and the sculptures by Anthony Cragg absolutely world class....please visit tis lovely space they have a nice coffee shop too
I’ve been in this restaurant following TripAdvisor feedback.
Tasty and delicious Turkish food, good beers selection, excellent service issued by young guys and very good position.
Really enjoyed the dinner in a very nice place.
You can to choose starters and mains from what is laid out on the table, as there is no set menu. Most of it is vegetarian and very delicious. If you have 2 people, it's recommended to get 2 or 3 half starters and a main dish each. Everything is reasonably priced as well.

After our 4 hours flight to Istanbul , on the way of Bursa we stayed in this lovely design hotel for a very short time. We decided to visit Istanbul next March and stay at least 3 days in this family run typical boutique hotel. The amenities in the room are more than a five star hotel: Modern amenities together...
