In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.

It was such a relief to see this mosque after my visit to dolmabache palace. It's simplicity compared to other Ottoman structures and it's elegance is remarkable. This beautiful mosque is not over done, but just done right. Huge windows facing the Bosphorus, letting in sunlight which lights up the mosque with a sense of calmness! Interior done beautifully. Not...
An important museum for Naval. There are so many ship or boat in museum. And everything smells history. Entry is free for the students and 8,5 TL(Turkish Lira) for adults.

Located in an old palace with a great view, this venue offers exceptional food and service. We had the meat balls, lamb and chicken. Absolutely everything was to the highest standard. Great wine and fabulous service. Well done.
We enjoyed the warm atmosphere and the beautiful weather, we could see Asia while having lunch in Europe.. appetizers are all good, we ate sultan Ibrahim and it was fresh, our waiter Haleem was very welcoming and helpful, and spoke english well. We will come again hopefully when in Istanbul.
I arrived today and was upgraded to a spacious residents skyline one bedroom suite!
I was welcomed by the most friendly front desk staffs, greeted by the chocolates and sweet note from the manager! My daughters were so happy that they didn't want to go down and leave the room.

What a gorgeous hotel, breathtaking views, beautifully furnished room, perfectly manicured gardens. The staff are amazing and tend to your every need. A true palace worthy of the name. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in!
My wife and I stayed at the Ritz in Istanbul around our 1 year anniversary. The staff was very accommodating and Pelin from Guest Experience went above and beyond to help us celebrate.
If you can, try to request a room away from the park as there is some highway noise and occasionally concerts.
Highly recommend the traditional hammam at...
Absolutely fabulous hotel with unparalleled service and an amazing view. Wish we could have stayed at the pool for the whole day. It is a view that will be forever ingrained in our memories.
Breakfast is good with plenty of options and pretty good quality. Service will depend on how crowded it is, and it can get pretty crowded..
