For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
Though I'm born and raised and still live in Istanbul, yesterday I went to this park for the first time in my entire life and I noticed I missed a lot so far.
It's a bit hilly park: lots of stairs and uphill roads, so, it might be difficult to wander around for elderly people. But other than that, it's...
If you are in the area, worth a stroll at this peaceful and lovely garden, with beautiful pavilions built as the Sultan's summer house. The Ceremonial Kiosk is impressive with its staircase carrying Baroque characteristics. The Maiyet Kiosk, used by sultan’s entourage and sometimes by his harem, is a less ornate building, its walls of are covered with stucco which...
We took the Big Bus tour along the Golden Horn to the Cable Cars.
It was slightly confusing to use the ticket machine as the English translation seemed not to work, but we managed to get our one-way tickets. Its a very short ride - we were there off season, so there were no queues. The ride takes you over...
I visited this museum twice and both times, I was amazed at the displays. I was lucky to witness the changing of the guards which was done in true military spirit. My only complain is the ladies toilet...maintenance is needed urgently!
One of the few places in neighborhood serving european dishes and alcohol. Staff is nice, some speak English. There is a smoking and non smoking sections. There are few larger screen TVs with music and football when there is a good turkish or european game.

Juno is Italian restaurant. Pizzas is delicious and they serve diet foods also. The place is quiet. But the chairs are metal and is not modern. The staffs are polite and you will have a good time when you eat lunch or dinner.

I just wanted to have lunch not far away from the Hilton Bomonti Hotel. After checking TripAdvisor, I decided to go to this restaurant and I was really positively surprised with the quality of the food and service. They have fresh meat since the owner also has butcher shop access the street. I recommend lamb shich, very, very good and...

perfect boutique hotel but expansive rooms, they are superb and the stay was not less than a 5 star experience... the staff is super great and their warmth unforgettable, Mr Pekin the floor manager needs an applaud for makin the stay with our infant like home... we actually never faced any problem .... the hotel connected to metro and bus...
We had to change the room 2 times as the previous two rooms had a terrible smoking odor which is obviously not nice for the baby.
Fraser needs to clearly maintain a non-smoking room which is not the case as they provide ashtrays in the room.
At the end, we were able to find a room without smoking odor.
Hotel is very intimate and elegant overall. We loved the gym, pool / sauna area and the rooftop bar with the gorgeous views especially.
The Butler Service here though was really exceptional. I shared at checkout that the only other St. Regis with similarly anticipatory, attentive service was Mexico City, and I was told that the Mexico City Butler came...
I had a long layover at the airport so chose the free option offered by Turkish Airlines of staying at this hotel. What a delight! The staff were well trained and helpful, the rooms were well appointed and super comfortable.Security was good. This hotel is one of the grandest, best designed hotels I've stayed at. It is quite a long...
