This museum, housed in a historic fort, tells the military history of Hong Kong from Ming Dynasty to the present. It also displays the weaponry used by the British defense force. The seasonal exhibition is a small centennial commemoration of World War One. The museum is a bit distant from Shau Kei Wan MTR station.
We travelled to the cemetery on the MTR Island line then used the local mini bus service for the rest of the journey.
Take exit c and follow signs to the bottom of the escalators. The mini bus (no 16) was directly on the left and well sign posted.
I asked the driver to stop when we saw the signs...
A friend of mine back in Montreal was actually grew up in here and he said I MUST go to Tai On Building to tryout street food there, so I did. Took the tram from Admiralty and slowly traveling east, after half an hour, this giant residential building. Apart from the food there, Tai On Building was actually quite an...
This is my unexpected trail after Dragon’s Back trail. My friend told me if this trail only need 2 hours. Compare with Dragon’s Back trail, this trail only half way of it, it won’t be a big problem for me. But, I didn’t check and find out more information about this place. The trail to the peak are made by...
We had dinner on the second floor, which is much quieter and spacious than the G/F, which is more for casual dining.
Menu is simple and basic. We opted for Hokkaido oyster and scallop ceviche. It was disappointedly bland.
The mains more than made up for it. We both had steak (strip and sirloin). Both were visually gorgeous pieces of...
This restaurant is just so much fun! We have enjoyed a few dishes from the Cantonese cuisine and had a lot of laugh with the owner Robby. I particularly recommend black ink squid noodles, which will make your face and teeth black, precipitating even more laughter. The prices are relatively high in my opinion but the experience is worth it.
Excellent dim sum selection that you order by ticking a little list. Take the list with bill to the counter at door to pay when finished.
Service is not friendly but we found the same in a lot of places here and was no different to other places really.
We were quite confused about the set up on arrival but...
"Hard to find with no signage - but beautifully appointed though small"

Minimilist is true, but they really could do with external signage for the place !
Staff / service very helpful with assistance for routes and busboy helpful with luggage to shuttle bus.
Internal light levels were all on micro spot lites and very dim ( which was trendy) but made it difficult for reading in poor light
A1 bathrobes and...
This is one of my favourite hotels in the world to stay in for work. Stunning design, great vibe, perfect location for me to walk to the office and if you get a room with a harbour view it's simply incredible.I can gaze out those windows all day! Roof top bar is great and had just been renovated when i...
We arrived in Hong Kong right after the Tifoon has gone away. Although the sweeming pool and some public areas in front of the hotel were danaged, the staff have done many efforts to make our stay super enjoyable. Ms. Alice, the customer relations manager, Mr. Bob, the Concierge and all the receptionists, helped us to choose all the great...
Have stayed here previously, would like to ask hotel staff if we can have connecting rooms with our next stay. Res Number: 126257640
Would appreciate if someone from City Garden could let us know if this is possible as we have not yet received confirmation. Would appreciate a reply.
A bit puzzling at start, as the hotel lobby sits at the 3rd floor.
Though not huge, my room had a very pleasant layout, fast wifi, great mattress.
Coffe and tea are available all day long at lobby. Friendly staff. Lots of options to eat around. A buzzling area with Electric Road nearby.
