Located in south São Paulo, Vila Mariana is a nice residential area with plenty of businesses, recreation centres, hospitals and restaurants. Joaquim Távora is an up-and-coming nightlife spot, with trendy restaurants and bars. The cultural centre SESC Vila Mariana offers interesting architecture and a variety of activities for the public. You can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike share stations and ride along the neighbourhood's streets to get a sense of this pleasant area during the day. The area around ESPM, a school for publicity and marketing, offers a collegiate ambiance with busy cafes and pubs.
Go see art visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art. Then, top it off with a nice lunch, healthy food. There are executive dishes with apptizers, main and dessert. The food is tasty and well prepared. The view is great. Although right on top or next to 23 de Maio...the trees that surround the terrace, aside being beautiful, keep the noise...
I took my students there on a field trip and they really loved it.
It is a very small museum, but the biologist there makes sure everybody understands everything.
They have areas for different kinds of bugs and some of them you can even touch, if you're brave enough.
Great exhibition and great art. Layout and presentation is perfect.
The variety in the pieces is very cool and setting up the exhibition "La Casa" according to themes and not according to time, artist or country works well.
Only downside is that there is no café or anything in the museum or close by.
A short walk across a pedestrian bridge from Ibirapuera Park, you will come upon the very fine Museum of Contemporary Art. The seven exhibit floors take you through the world of 20th and 21st century art, from the well-known “traditional” works of (Picasso, Matisse, De Chirico, Modigliani, Chagall, Leger, et al) and their Brazilian contemporaries (such as Brecheret, Martins, and...

Its a great place to try the best “coxinha” in São Paulo. It’s crunchy and creamy at the same time, lots of chicken, just perfect! Also the caipirinhas are really good! They have a bunch of different and delicious flavours. And they are always very well executed. The draugh beer is the third unmissable this of this bar, cold as...

A 5-min walk from metro and bus stations, and actually quite close (by taxi) to Congonhas (domestic) airport, this small hotel in Vila Mariana is a good bid if you're looking for an affordable place for a brief stay. By metro you're on the Avenida Paulista in no time. In the other direction you can reach one of the city's...
This is what I would consider an average hotel in São Paulo. Nothing bad, but nothing above average to say about it.
Rooms are spacious and clean, although a bit too noisy.
The whole building is very narrow and this makes it a bit uncomfortable. This is specially true at the breakfast place.
Breakfast itself is a bit poor as...
I do not like to stay in a hotel in a main avenue, but this time I had to do as per an event I will have and this hotel was what was better to attend my needs.
Said that I will review my position and try others like that.
The hotel follows the Mercure hotels standard, so you will...
The hotel is located in a quiet location and close to several points of São Paulo. The rooms and bathroom are clean, spacious and comfortable. For the price of the lodging the breakfast could have more menu options.
