Located in south São Paulo, Vila Mariana is a nice residential area with plenty of businesses, recreation centres, hospitals and restaurants. Joaquim Távora is an up-and-coming nightlife spot, with trendy restaurants and bars. The cultural centre SESC Vila Mariana offers interesting architecture and a variety of activities for the public. You can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike share stations and ride along the neighbourhood's streets to get a sense of this pleasant area during the day. The area around ESPM, a school for publicity and marketing, offers a collegiate ambiance with busy cafes and pubs.
Entry to this small museum is free. They display a variety of insects, both preserved and alive. The stick insects were fun to see. They also have hives of 4 Brazilian honeybee species. The grounds are small, but interesting. All descriptions were in Portuguese, but the guides were very friendly and helpful.
Great exhibition and great art. Layout and presentation is perfect.
The variety in the pieces is very cool and setting up the exhibition "La Casa" according to themes and not according to time, artist or country works well.
Only downside is that there is no café or anything in the museum or close by.
I was visiting Ibirapuera park and started my visit by seeing this MAC which is in 7 floors, but on that day it was only 4 floors and the rest were doing some restoration work. The art work was very nice, but unfortunately there were no English descriptions of the art work, except for a paragraph by the curators in...

Best staff Arthur, Rodrigo, and Rhavy. Thank you for making us feel at home. Your specialty drinks and your fantastic company and delicious appetizers and dinner! I highly recommend the food is excellent.
Went to a number of pubs and bars on my short trip to SP and the best evening I had was at Veloso. It has feel of an easy and relaxing pub almost like your neighborhood go to pub (I wish I had one like this in my neighborhood).
Caipirinhas here were the best I had on the trip (and...
Loved all the types of pizzas. We ordered quatro queijos, Portuguesa, neopolitana, funghi, and primo and all were equally delicious. Great tables to sit outside in the green space which is nicely lit up at night.
I have been to the restaurant long time ago, the assado das tiras was absolutely amazing, and it's the time I'm in love with beef ribs! It's the place for meat lover, we are planing to come back very soon to try rib eyes!!! Xxx
In the middle of the city, this is a hamburger joint that deserves to be visited. Not only because the atmosphere, but with a great team and extraordinary food and drinks. There is also Archery (apparently everyday) and RPG tables (twice a week) to try.
#1 Hotel Staff. Every member of the hotel staff are not only professional, each one makes you feel like family, goes out of their way to do so. Front desk, extremely helpful when planning an extra something for a colleague

A very good hotel, I stayed during a weekend, Very good location, nearby restaurants, pubs and nightlife.
Around Paulista Avenue.
Very good breakfast, I didn't tried use the internet.
The room is big enough and clean,
Good at all
The room was nice, new and clean. The internet was fast enough (at least from the 3rd floor). Breakfast is better in other Mercure in the city but also good. Overall a good hotel for a business trip. Close to Av. Paulista and a lot of shopping malls.
Stayed here for 4 nights during the world cup - couldn't fault the hotel, friendly staff, great location, good breakfast.
WiFi is a bit patchy in the rooms - we found ourselves pacing the halls getting it to work.
