Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
The Audubon Zoo is a must do if you’re going on a family trip to NOLA. The exhibits are grteat and the zoo is so well maintained. They are opening up a new lion exhibit in 2019. The splash pad inside the zoo is also a great treat for little ones.
The Exhibition "Empire" was on while I was visiting New Orleans. This gallery space is well situated at the Tulane University and offers a unique opportunity. The Exhibition "Empire" reflected an multi layered and nuanced experience of Tulane and New Orleans history across a range of facets from historical to cultural to natural.
What a great building to have such a wonderful library located. The librarians are extremely helpful and the book selection although small has a lot of the recent greats. The historical building is beautiful and has a lot of history. We love it.

We tried about 8 different options from lite fare to the desert all were delicious. Also nice to get away from the French Quarter and step up our game a bit. You...
Forget Starbucks! This place has excellent coffee, as well as a great selection of savory and sweet crepes. Crepes were perfectly done.
Their lemon curd crepes were the best, with real whipped cream.
They had other items on the menu, and all looked good. Very friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. We were staying near the Convention Center, so it wasn’t...
If you're going to pick one dessert place to represent a trip to New Orleans, this is probably going to be it. The walls of this place are fairly cluttered and it can be tough to discern exactly what's on the menu and what you can order. The place feels and looks like a time warp, complete with an old...
This is the second time we stayed at the Adler. The first time was during Mardi Gras. The hotel is around a year old. The interior design is awesome bright, sleek and modern. The rooms are big too. The staff is excellent and welcoming. They go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. The breakfast is your...
