Had a lovely meal here (the restaurant I believe is owned by Fonda la tea, the hotel we stayed in). Fina called ahead and ensured that I had plenty of veggie options to choose from.

We arrived at Cueva de la Te on our holiday in Gran Canaria. We were quickly whisked through the door by the waiter and kindly sat down with some freshly baked bread and teror chorizo. We ordered rabbit and pork. The rabbit arrived first. It was hard and greasy and tasted like old burnt oil and soap. We both love... More

This restaurant (which is owned by the only hotel in town) has pretensions to be something it is not. The menu offered is the same as anywhere else, but prices are higher. I had roast baby goat which was fine but my husbands grilled pork was chewy. The local wine was excellent but quite expensive. The salad was very ordinary. The... More

Average food and ambience. Some of the staff a tad surly which put us off a bit. But no real complaints.

this restaurant has some simple hearty food like goat stew, chickpeas, etc. these were good, simple dishes. the starters we tried were not so good - the tempura aubergines seemed like it was cooked in stale oil and was quite heavy. And the 'blood sausage' we were hoping would be a simple taste of the local blood sausage. However instead... More

Typical Canary Island small Restaurant with nothing particularly noteworthy about it. Cheap, clean, with good service but probably not worth a second visit.

We sat outside at the terras, great views on the mountainside. Good price/quality. Restaurant has great local Spanish touch to it, great to find such a place in a touristy place as Gran Canaria. Typical Spanish decoration inside. Food was simple but great taste. Can recommend the grilled hake for lunch or dinner. Tejeda in general pretty scenery and nice... More

The food comes in large portions and the restaurant is pleasant enough but nothing outstanding . We would not be tempted to go back- there are better places in town .

We stayed in Tejeda for three nights and ate here three times. I liked the ambience, the food and the wine. We were walking during the day so luckily had healthy appetites by evening - some of the meat dishes (for one) could feed two! I had a pork dishes that was slow roasted and delicious but it defeated me.... More
