This was our favorite meal while in Cayman. I had the sea bass and my husband had the lobster ravioli. The owner was so inviting and even sent us to our next favorite restaurant. Great time!

Great atmosphere, great food. What more is there to say. Homemade pasta with unique dishes. We hesitated going to an Italian restaurant since we were on an island and get great Italian food in the states, but it was spectacular. Probably one of our top 2 favorite restaurants.

Just finished having a wonderful meal here! As a hard core Italian missing some pasta, I was a bit worried about it, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! Pasta al dente, wonderful sauces (sughi magnifici veramente!) and incredible service! The owners are italians so if you need some pasta this is where to go!

My family of six choose Pappagallo as our nice dinner out and we were not disappointed. The service, food and presentation were excellent and the prices were not outrageous. Definetly worth the drive to the north part of the island.

located at far northwest end of island on a man made cove, this beautiful and spacious restaurant serves a first class meal with first class service. Intelligent and friendly staff, you overlook this mad made cove that lights up ( rising full moon too ) with reflections of the water as well as lights highlighted the distance trees/growth around cove.... This restaurant used to be one of our favorites on Grand Cayman, but things have slipped. The food has gone up in price and down in quality. My wife's fish was served cold and on a really strange pungent hash-like stuff that overpowered the fish. In addition, the fish was supposed to be Mahi Mahi, but sure didn't seem like... More

This is a 5 star place, so not cheap. we paid about 200 for our meal. On arrival, they put the napkin in your lap. The meal is specially prepared for you, The food has excellent taste. I ordered veal, my husband ordered lamb chops. Both were super. We had dessert also- made that meal complete. When making your reservation... More

Came here for a group dinner and it was a real treat. Highly recommended the ravioli as an appetizer. Tuna tartare is also very good. For an entre I had the catch of the day which was red snapper with pesto crust. It was amazing. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake. Rich, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Service... More

On crossing the wooden bridge that leads to Ristorante Pappagallo, you will see swimming beneath there are sleek silvery tarpon, always on the lookout for scraps from the kitchen. You are thus, thrown into a world of the exotic, even before reaching the front door! Then, as you enter the spacious foyer, you're met at the front door by an African gray parrot, humorously called Humphrey Bogart. He is one of the oldest Pappagallo employees with over ten years experience in welcoming guests and posing for photos (especially with the little ones!). You will then immediately notice the inviting and well-stocked bar, decorated in an art deco style, where customers can take pre-dinner drinks or enjoy an after dinner drink in a cool and inviting atmosphere. On your right hand side, lies one of our two dining rooms, the Pappagallo Room. Inside, the impressive high ceiling will grab your attention, with its typical Mexican-style thatching. Wrought iron lights gently illuminate the air-conditioned room and huge glass-fronted bird cages feature all around the walls housing live parrots, macaws, cockatoos and African grays, all vying for your attention. The walls are also decorated with colorful pictures of parrots and a giant turtle shell which came from a 500 pound green sea turtle, which was raised in Cayman at West Bay's Turtle Farm. All this, and a great view of the waterfall cascading into the lagoon directly outside the room... how can you possibly forget that you are dining in a tropical paradise? On your left hand side of the foyer is the Flamingo Room, also with a fabulous thatched roof, this time in a traditional Cayman style. The entire roofing used 100,000 fronds and took over 6 months to construct - no mean feat. The Flamingo Room is left open to catch the cooling breeze, but is air-conditioned when the weather dictates. Here, you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view over the lagoon. Large prints of flamingos decorate the walls and again, wrought iron lights lend their soft glow.Beyond this room lies a third eating area, the Garden Patio, a large screened- in porch where diners eat al fresco during the cooler winter months. This also has a magnificent lagoon view and Pappagallo usually caters for large parties & weddings here.
