I had the grouper there and it was one of the best fish I had on the island. It's the classic shack on the beach with great food. I'd highly recommend this reasonable alternative to the expensive dining on the island with a great view and relaxed atmosphere slightly off the beaten path.

We visited Heritage Kitchen on a rain afternoon. It was worth the wait in the rain. On the menu that day was only grouper and wahoo. Everyone in our group chose the grouper, but we all selected different sauces (coconut, curry, cayman style and pan-friend). The favourites were the coconut and curry. Would like to come again when they have... More

A local from the island told us about Heritage Kitchen and we ended up eating there for our entire stay in the Grand Cayman. The food is just that good! The fish was amazing and the jerk chicken was incredible for BBQ Night. It also helps that the chef, Ronaldo is extremely kind and he has a great team helping... More

Friday special was Jerk Ribs, a must have! Best hidden gem on the west side. Local spot by the beach. Small but cozy and near the water.

Best restaurant on West Bay. This is local cuisine, not a hamburger joint (after all, you can get that in the US and your in the Caribbean so live a little and try it) Order food, go have a seat near the water and enjoy a drink and local music; no stress here! This is cash only (most local fair... More

This was the first meal we had during our trip to Grand Cayman, and it was our best! Warm, wonderful people serving fresh, home-cooked food next right by the water, while reggae music played in the background - what could be better? It was also the most affordable restaurant we went to with the best portions (but don't forget to... More

DO NOT MISS HERITAGE KITCHEN! This is a hidden gem in West Bay! The seafood was fresh, delicious, and the portions plentiful! We both had the coconut grouper--the sauce was flavorful and just the right amount of coconut goodness. The staff was so friendly. The "scone" to end the meal was tasty enough to be dessert!!

Great place for fresh fish prepared several different ways. Prices are very reasonable as well. Very courteous and helpful staff. No inside seating, but lots of shaded seating outside and being right on the beach, there's normally an ample breeze. This is the place to go for fresh, tasty, local seafood prepared using local recipes.

I had Wahoo with the Cayman topping and my wife had the Coconut Grouper. Everything was great and reasonably priced. It's a dive, but the food is worth it. Best meal we had on the Island.

if you go here be prepared to eat what they have. they were out of the jerk chicken and mahi mahi and were in the process of making the coconut sauce. the grouper is my favorite though! still, a favorite place to eat on the island. service is island paced, but the view is legit! also they don't sell beer.... Local Cayman food at it's very best. Recommended by all who have eaten there. Written up as the place to go to in the Cayman Islands by the New York Times.Heritage Kitchen lies snuggled next to Boggy Sands Road in West Bay, serving some of the best local food.Fresh fish fry, fritters and fish tea are some of the most popular dishes.Diners eat at wooden tables outside the tiny restaurant or can sit on the sea wall a few feet away and watch the waves. The restaurant is behind the Heritage shopping centre at the four-way stop.Open Wed/Thu until 8pm,Fri/Sat until 10 pm and Sunday until 8 pm which is our Barbeque Day!
