Our zip line guide told us this was authentic food, "where the locals go," so we tried it out. Wow! Delicious. Our kids were tired after a long day in the ocean, so we called in and carried out. The staff was super helpful and even called to have my husband turn around because he forgot something. This was our... More

The food was delicious and on a Saturday night there was live music. Traditional Puerto Rican dishes. I especially enjoyed the Coconut Rice. Make sure you have plenty of time. Dinner is a social event in Latin countries. You may not receive you food for 30-40 minutes in any restaurant. You talk and drink and relax while waiting.

The food here is exceptionally good. They serve large portions for a great price. I had steak, coconut rice and salad and with tip it was $17. Excellent service and friendly staff.

Unassuming exterior with good food and live music. Service very friendly. It is not "fast food," but it is very good when it arrives. In the meantime, the music performed by good musicians provides a lovely atmosphere for a pleasant evening with friends. The prices are not unreasonable for a resort area.

This is a fun restaurant and it is very convenient if you are staying at the Wyndham resort, as it is right at the bottom of the hill. We went on a Friday night and there was live music and the place was packed. The service was great and the food was better. I especially liked that the drink prices... More

The appetizers were delicious and the food, although it took long, was very good. The mofongo de mero al ajillo was delicious, the chicken tender. The Mahi-Mahi also was good. The service was very good, one of the party complaint about her to stones and they changed them. We went to the second floor, good atmosphere. They have also vegetarian... More

Great food- PR appetizers, mofongo, were all excellent and well cooked. The second floor has a different ambience than the first on the first, music, smaller... the second floor a little more room, quaint and good ambience. Casual dress vacation resort type dress is fine. The menu is extensive- Puerto Rican flavors-- all meats, seafood, etc.

Great menu variety. Cheap beer and unique selection of craft beer. Service and food was slow. Overall a good cheaper, casual authentic restaurant.

Description
Authentic Puerto Rican & Cuban Food. Many people write about it in their reviews of the Rio Mar in Rio Grande, PR. I would love to write a review about this place as it was the best Mofungo (fried mashed plantains) we had in PR (and we tried it in 4 restaurants).
