My friend Jason had just bought a new car, so suggested we go and have a meal at the Masons arms. We arrived a bit late, but the staff were very friendly and said they would take our order and bought us our drinks and a menu. I had the Crab salad, Jason had fish & chips and Emma great... More

We ate here recently for dinner. My burger was nice - very thick and the chips were excellent, the onion rings were over-cooked though. The duck was a bit of a let down, it didn't have much flavour to it. Both meals could have done with some salad or vegetables too. Service was friendly.

Pretty thatched pub with large car park (a boon when situated along a narrow village street). Welcoming and attractive inside with friendly, efficient staff. We enjoyed a fab dinner. Super starters of sea bass with chorizo and mussels with bacon followed by liver and bacon and a chestnut stuffed chicken breast with kale mash - all dishes beautifully presented and... More

Very good food, at a very reasonable price. What more could you want? A cosy pub, that seemed to be popular with locals as well. A very good sign.

With our daughter and her young family we met friends of similar age. The pub is beautiful, the staff were great with the youngsters and the lunch (paninis) really tasty. Spotlessly clean, we'd definitely recommend. Baby changing facilities and on-site camping. N.B. If using satnav found it momentarily disappeared in the narrow lane but soon reappeared.

Nice pub, friendly staff, excellent menu/food. The pub brews some of its its own beers and changes these weekly - well worth trying.
