Booked off the internet while in Cape Town. Were asked for pre arrival deposit but this was waived after a conversation with a lady who we guess was the owner. The property is easy to find as it is well sign posted from the main...road. We booked the superior rooms, which were on the ground floor and really lovely. The rooms are set off a small covered quadrangle containing recliners and a small, but cold, plunge pool. It looked great. We had two rooms, ours, large with all the expected facilities (except a tv), but who cares! Who needs a tv on holiday. In place of this tv we had a lovely private patio area with three seats and a bird table attracting Cape Sugar birds and Amethyst birds, which we found wonderful. The other room had a large tv in place of our patio and all the usual facilities. We ate in the restaurant and had an excellent meal with really good service, with happy smiling staff. Andrew, the chef, who was in charge due to the absence of the owners was great. Not only did he cook us an excellent meal but he was also a wonderful host for our whole visit. The village is lovely with its blue and white houses and we walked in the morning to see the caves which, was a long way and quite disappointing when we finally got there. However we did find the long walk through the tunes exhilarating. Finally, breakfast was again excellent, with a buffet offered as well as cooked items. Overall, an excellent establishment, friendly staff, a caring host and I have no hesitation in recommending this place to other readers.More

Quite excited about a restaurant in Arniston and want it to succeed. the menu sounded delicious but we found the food especially the pasta to be rather bland. Hope it improves as Arniston needs something other than just the hotel.
