This pub appears to have had a good refurbishment and has a nice interior. There is a wide range of beers and on our visit they were in good condition. The food is OK but a little pricey for pub food.

Well what a difference a year makes. Thought we would chance getting in to the plough for a drink on New Year's Eve (last year was absolutely rammed). Party of 3 and the total, including staff, when we entered was a sad 11. It is so sad to see how this beautifully renovated pub has gone from bustling to embarrassing... More

We have eaten here before and it was very good. Not so this time. It may have been early but they were very under-staffed. One person on the bar and taking orders. The bar was quite full and the order took a while. When the food arrived both adult meals were good but our children's meal was very poor. Chicken... More

The Plough has recently been done up and I have to say it is lovely in there. There was 6 of us for Sunday Lunch and I have to say. Very nice too. I had Beef, the yorkshire puddings were massive. Was very impressed with the portions. I had the Eton Mess for Pudding which was also very nice indeed.... More

Booked through Booking.Com and was then charged an extra £60 on arrival as they stated that the price was per person and not per room as we were quoted. Room smelt strongly of cooking from the kitchen below and was cold with no heating in the en-suite bathroom at all. No working plug in wash hand basin and no hair... More

This pretentious place calls itself a gastropub. The fish had very greasy batter, the vegetable tart was cold and the service was slow. However, my husband liked the pork dish. They have a good range of beers but don't go there to eat.

Dreadful service, roast pork was loin chop with no crackling, no stuffing with roast chicken, over priced puddings and very small portions, took ages for everything to arrive at the table with no apologies, never again!

Popped in here a few weeks ago and if it's good pub grub you want then you can't far wrong. This place does what it says on the tin. Good beer, good foot. Good pub!. What more is needed.
