Have reviewed this place before, but this time I ordered Scones with jam and cream. I was faced with two tall cake like structures. When I queried the staff, I was told they were made like that in "Middle England". I assume they mean the...More

This place is certainly warm and cosy on a winters day. But it is so cosy the only way to sit at some of the tables is to move the table out, sit down, replace table and heaven forbid if you need to move during...More

Arriving at Sassafras, I saw Miss Marbles. The first which struck me was the old design of the building, inside the tablecloths covered tables give a beautiful touch to a great selection of beverages and light meals. The Devonshire Tea is my favourite. The disadvantage...More

Fabulous service, hot yorkshire tea brewed the old fashioned way with delicious scones with jam and cream.Yum! We visited on a cold and wet winters day but it was absolutely toasty and divine in this establishment. Apparently you have to line up on weekends. Understandable!...More

It is a very nice place but very crowded and you have to wait for a long time before you can even get a table. Plus you cannot book

I honestly don't understand the appeal of this place. The wait times are enormous and once you get it you're crushed into a dining space the size of a single car park. The food isn't bad but definitely not worth the price or conditions.

Upon arriving, i waited at the front counter and wasn't attended too for at least 5 mins . Staff appeared too busy. Room was too hot, crowded and noisy so I left to find a quieter cafe that was able to serve us a little...More

This place used to be fantastic, but now after getting drunk off their spot as touristy stopover the quality has declined. No bookings, you wait and line up outside the door. Food is ok, pricey. Note if you are even 1 minute past 3pm they...More

We have been to Miss Marple's a few times (twice with our toddler) and the food has always been good, especially the fruit scones and beef cottage pie. Service wasn't the best and we had to wait longer for our food despite having ordered the...More

HI, As far as i am aware it has not changed hands and the scones are still made fresh although i didn't try them this time round. In all fairness i don't think they are the standard type of scones you would bake at home... More
