This Ristoro is a bit out of the way, but is well worth the trip to Rocca Pia to experience the wonderful food. Once in Rocca Pia, park your car and walk up hill on the main road. The restaurant is located on the left on a side alley. Look for the sign pointing the way. Il Vecchio Ristoro may... More

Just back from lovely meal. Great value. Good attentive staff and good homemade pasta. Gaudenzio (owners son) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Will return soon.

Whenever you are nearby.. please do not pass this without trying their cuisine. I've been here since 2012 and will not stop coming back. The food has been ever so tasteful, prepared with care which you experience in their service and food. Love it and will again come back!

This place is definitely worth a visit. The town (Rocca Pia) is a quaint, beautiful mountain town full of good people and authentic culture. The restaurant takes things up a notch from there. The food here might be the freshest I've ever eaten in a restaurant. This is the kind of place that you want to know about.

Good local food, well prepared - and helpful proprietors. This was the first lunch of our Abruzzo holiday and a great start.

We traveled from Colorado to Rocco Pia to trace some heritage. This time of year the village is very quiet. We were the only patrons of the restaurant that evening. The chef and host are the owners (husband and wife, Michele and Nunzia). We were treated extremely well and the food was perfetto! The spinach was picked that day in... More

Take time out from your Abbruzzese holiday to visit one of the best restaurants in the region. The food is local and authentic, the service is friendly, warm and personable. The restaurant has been recently renovated in a tasteful and classic style and is quiet and comfortable. We have been visiting for 3 years and it never fails to impress.... More

This is an exceptional restaurant - run by a wonderful family Michele, Nunzia and their son Gaudenzio. They are warm and welcoming and have a deep respect for the food they cultivate and a passion for the manner in which it is prepared - all perfectly in harmony. We tasted a bit of everything. The antipasto of cheese and salumi... More

My husband, myself and our four children (19-6) traveled to Italy with a stop in Rocca Pia, the town my mother's family is from. I wish we could have stayed longer. Seeing the town in which my mother spent her young childhood and meeting people I had only seen in pictures was priceless. The meal we had at Il Vecchio... More
