This is my second time coming to Laksa Pak Ngah. The first time was years ago. That time I was fascinated by the decorations of the restaurant where they put antique music player and the surrounding felt like being in an old restaurant. The second time I came, the laksa became a bit watery compared to the last time. No more antique collections being displayed. And there were also less people coming (maybe because of the pandemic). Nevertheless, out of other places selling laksa in Kuala Kangsar, I still think this is one of the best.

Excellent tasting laksa and cendol. The noodles are handmade, texture is good, not too tough or soft. This is considered special laksa.
We tried laksa goreng, laksa special and the egg laksa. The laksa goreng is highly recommended even though they are all good.

This place is famous for laksa BERAS.
I have to capital the letters so that you would know what to expect. This is not a normal laksa. The thickness of it defines the quality. Laksa BERAS is the ultimate must have when you are in Kuala Kangsar because it is so hard to find anywhere else in Malaysia!
Laksa beras is out of this world. Sedap. Serious sedap.
The laksa is rich in flavour and the kuah doesn't use santan. Fresh fish taste all the way!
I ordered to go and they packed it all separately which was so convenient and enables me to store it in the fridge for more than a few days! Quality cooking proven when the laksa and kuah still tasted great!
I would rate full marks but the only thing that bothers me was the smelly, wet and no lights in the toilet. Wish it was properly lit and cleaned for visitors.

Best Ais Kacang at reasonable in Kuala Kangsar. I ordered Special Ais Kacang (added a scope of ice cream). It's delicious and not too sweet. The ambience was good and visitors may try the best Ais Kacang during hot weather !! Overall satisfied with their services.

Ordered cucur udang (too wet after they fried upon order), laksa telur sarang (thumbs up, although not as bland as others described but it was still "kaw" enough and you can add prawn paste depending on your preference) and laksa goreng (no taste of laksa, more like mee goreng but nevertheless still a good choice) with iced coffee (tasty). Service was fine, the girl came to get order within seconds we were seated and she was able to explain the differences of their types of laksa in the menu. Parking was not a problem as others complained as we went during tea time 4 pm.
After reading all the negative reviews here, I'd still recommend to try it at least once. :D

My title says it all ..
Visited today and encountered :
- Nightmare to find a parking spot
- Staff totally ignore your existence until you have to do everything on your own
- Being told to change items ordered as they dont have ICE and ingredients in Laksa !
- Order came and it all tasteless and what a joke to call that a LAKSA ??Come on !
Avoid this place and dont even think that all JJCM bragged in their show about Laksa Pak Ngah as TRUE !! It is all a lie !!

I kept seeing this place as recommended when I googled search for Kuala Kangsar's must-try. To be fair, it was not easy to find any places to eat. This was the only one I could find online for a Sunday 2pm lunch. The rest was either closed on Sunday or Breakfast hours only.
I had Laksa special (just with wrapped egg in the noodles), Mee Rebus and Kuey Teow Goreng.
Not the familiar (Assam) Laksa we have in KL / Malacca / Penang, this is watery, bland, noodles are thicker and not as light.
Overall, the food was decent enough to fill our tummies. The waitress was quite a cold while orders and serving food. Cendol was 90% melted when served to our table. It doesn't seem anyone wants to work there or any soul in their food. Perhaps my expectation from online recommendations were set too high.

i guess what's differentiate this eatery is the fried eggs. they do serve other foods but we did not have the time to return to this place during our recent visit to KK but i think i will stop here again next time to try the other type of food. the cendol was unfortunately so so; during our trip KK was having water shortage so i think this was one of the reasons why the water in the cendol tasted weird.

Went to Kuala Kangsar last weekend and was told that I must try laksa Pak Ngah. My expectation was high since this laksa was recommended by several friends. Tried it but cant really taste the ummmph factor that made this laksa famous. Anyway, one tick on the bucket list...

I had the Laksa Goreng. For me, the Laksa Goreng look more attempting than the Special. For who that like 'banjir'. You should try the special.

Nothing so special, the picture looks more appetising than the actual product. The Mee rebus is taste less. But in another story, the place is very clean.
