My husband and I stayed at El Castillo Boutique Luxury Hotel for seven nights. The adjacent restaurant, Castillo’s Kitchen, is well worth a visit whether you are staying at the hotel or close by. We tried a couple restaurants, for lunch, but we kept coming...back to Castillo’s. Castillo’s Kitchen uses the freshest of ingredients, makes everything from scratch, will accommodate dietary requests and has great service. In retrospect we should have booked the ‘All Inclusive Package’. During our week’s stay, we tried what seemed liked their entire menu, lol. Menu Favourites: Starters - Seafood Soup - This was absolutely delicious! It was a special but should be on their regular menu. - Calamari with three dipping sauces. It was also a special but should be on their regular menu. - Fish Ceviche with homemade tortilla chips - Stacked Nachos – big enough as a lunch for two people, an appetizer for four. Mains - Daily Specials – maize encrusted prawns, lobster, seafood risotto & so much more - BBQ Ribs - Fish Tacos Suggestion Make a reservation for 5:00 p.m. to watch the amazing sunset from the deck. Best homemade ravioli! Their homemade brownie is also really good. Great service, staff is so nice! Also have gluten free and dairy free options. Incredible view.

One of the main attraction of this hotel restaurant (formerly known as Azul, now Castillo’s Kitchen) is the view over the Pacific. Unfortunately it gets dark early, so unless you feel like a very early dinner, come for lunch. Very attentive service, fresh fish and...nice presentation of the dishes. The cocktails were ok (check out the bartender at Citrus to experience great cocktails), and overall this is a pricey place which goes with the upscale ambience.More

We are an extended family (3 generations, 8 people total) who attempted to go to this restaurant for an early dinner. We arrived about 4:30, and one of the employees came out of the restaurant to tell us we were not welcome to eat there...because we had children with us. He said it would bother the other customers. I saw one couple there as I peered in at the restaurant. We were not allowed to set foot inside. I have not encountered that in years.More

Even the night was rainy, the place is magical. Great atmosphere and serve! We tried the grill octopus and was delicious! I really recommend this place. If you can go on summer even better. The view is a MUST!

El Castillo’s kitchen not only cooks delicious tick classics but they are willing to provide you with specialty items if requested. For example, we celebrated a birthday. They provided a cake. We went on a deep sea fishing trip. They provided a family style dinner...made with our fish. They made us sandwiches and cut fruit for our fishing trip as well and packed it! The food and service experience is like no other.More

Just shared a wonderful meal with my family in this elegant hotel with an unforgettable view of the ocean. We first enjoyed cocktails as the sun was setting and then a delicious meal: shrimp tempura, catch of the day, garlic shrimp and ravioli, pecan pie...and brownies, everything was somptuous. The staff was so nice and curtuous, service was impeccable, even the chef and the manager came by to meet us. I highly recommend this charming hotel which has the best view of the area.More
