The wait staff and bar tender were excellent. The view from the deck is stunning and really adds to the experience. John is a magician on the keyboard and really put his heart into the performance. Very attractive bar/club and chill vibe, overlooking the Pacific, beautiful view, great service, drinks, food. Family friendly. Great live music. A real gem of a place, worth the climb up the hill.

What an awesome evening we had here. A very casual spot and that suits us perfectly. The hosts/owners and servers were all fantastic people. We had a great table with a nice view of the Jungle and Pacific. We had been told the fish and...chips were good, so that's what we had. Very well prepared and tasty. The wings were also very good. John came out and did a show and it was very entertaining. He is a exceptional talent. By far the most fun evening we had during our 10 days in Costa Rica.More

The music and bantering between the musicians...great. Being in an open air small restaurant, with good drinks, friends and musicians who enjoyed what they were doing. My only regret is we could only go the one night. We were leaving the next day. If in...Ojuchal put this place on your list.More

Lovely drive up the hill to this little gem. Great food and live entertainment! There is also a small hotel adjacent.

Without a doubt, the most fun in the southern zone. Amazing food and great service but the entertainment was off the hook. We were so surprised to find a place with live music of this caliber in the middle of the jungle!

Felt like we had stumbled into a North American bar as very slightly unexpected visitors! Think the high trip adviser ratings is possibly due to the large local US/Canadian ex pat community - everyone seemed to know each other???! We were attracted by advertised music...- and the owner was putting on his YouTube show from the stage, he was very good. Nothing Costa Rican about this place, but ribs were amazing ! I have been visiting Ojochal for 5 years and every trip the Bamboo Room is the highlight of the vacation. The food is excellent, service is fantastic and the entertainment is amazing. John and Ken interact with the customers and truly make it a great...experience. Come hungry!!More

Second visit. Another enjoyable one! We were in the area 2 years ago and enjoyed the establishment enough that we booked in for this New Years Eve. As.a holiday, with a Mentalist show, there was a set menu. Entertainment was great. We could tell that...the majority of the crowd were regulars which I think speaks highly of The Bamboo Room. We were mixing up our Costa Rican experiences and this is a great ex-Pat hang out. I hope to be back again.More

The best New Year’s experience ever, capping two weeks of Costa Rican adventures…The Chantry’s treated us like family!

On New Years Eve evening, we hadn’t booked any restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant with our beach clothes, wet hair and generally looked not fancy at all. The owner (we think his name is John) was so kind to squeeze us in for dinner...and the show. Dinner was delicious, they even offer vegetarian and vegan options. There was a famous Magician doing a show after dinner. The show was mind-blowing. The staff was very attentive and warm. We had an amazing New Years Eve there.More
