Had a superb meal here. Staff friendly and attentive. Good variety on menu and specials board, and the food was excellent. A lovely old world country pub. Will definitely be back.

A true gem of a family restaurant, lovely family run place with a true country feel, loads of parking, dogs allowed, open log fires. The restaurant has exquisite food, I would recommend the sea bass yummy just like the rest of the food, and of...More

Nice old pub, although not much seating outside that we could see. Very tasty food. Accommodated us at the last minute. Some veggie options which were really good (quinoa burger) but could do with some more, especially ones that are healthier and more for kids....More

Even a warm fire on an April's evening was welcome, followed by a great Turkey dinner. Friendly service too

My son and his partner took us for a meal. I am a veggie and was very sceptical that a country pub would cater for my needs but they turned up trumps with macaroni cheese. Excellent meal in a lovely old pub with great service...More

Hi Carol D thank you for your great review. I think someone must have pressed the wrong till button as a single scoop is advertised and sold at £1.50 a scoop. Although our delicious ice cream is made with fresh fruit and local cream I...More

Ideal after a walk in the adjacent forest. Good food, friendly staff and clean. Taken many friends and family here over the last two year. Highly recommended. Still retains the pub atmosphere, open fire and dogs allowed in the public bar area.

Yes, we had both our dogs with us, you need to go to the left side of the pub as the restaurant is to the right. The left side is still set lovely but doggies are allowed, you need to leave muddy boots outside tho ;)
