Terrific food, no complaints there at all. We've been twice in last few days. The drinks "menu" is a disgrace. Sprite, water, beer or wine, thats it. Also, soso ambiance with smoking allowed in a confined space. Only 2 of the 4 ceiling fans were...working. It's hot.More
After nearly 3 weeks in Thailand we fancied a change from the beautiful Thai food and decided on Italian. We ordered the tagliatelle di mare and a pizza. The pizza was very average, bland and covered in barely cooked onion. The pasta was dreadful. It...seemed to be some sort of minced meat dish and not seafood. I asked the waiter if I'd been given the wrong dish as there wasn't anything in the dish that looked, smelt or tasted of seafood. I was told the seafood had been chopped down very finely and that's what I should expect from a seafood pasta dish. My mother is Italian and I have had tagliatelle di mare many many times and this was not it. I couldn't eat it. Bland and unidentifiable ingredients.More
If you had read the menu correctly, perhaps you would have ordered right. I asked you if you wanted to change and you refused...better go back to eating thai food..
Overrated. Came here due to positive reviews, but found just OK food at very expensive prices. Have much better restaurants in Ko Lupe, so I will definitely avoid this one for the future and enjoy other offers here.
The worst Aglio olio ever … no garlic taste at all, no parsley, no Chili , tasteless … don’t know for other plates … but never take this plate. The waitresses are nice
We had dinner at Made in Italy, booked a table for 8PM, and from the moment we walked in Claudio made us feel very welcome. It seemed quite quiet, but soon filled up and had people queuing to get in. Nice Aperitivo, Claudio rustled up...a Negroni Sbagliato, which I’ll have to say was superb, just the right balance of prosecco. My daughters had some Aperol Spritz’s which were also spot on. Maybe as Claudio is from Milano he know how to do a mean Aperitivo! Nice touch was the bread with Oil & Balsamico. The pizza was superb, great thin Woodfired crust and perfect amount of topping. My wife and I had the signature Spaghetti, which was seasoned perfectly with perfectly cooked tuna. The other menu options looked delicious also. We will be back to sample the Tiramisu! The wine list is small, but the choices were very nice. To finish some Limoncello….. Great host, great food and lovely ambiance, just up the street behind Bloom.More
Good Italian food. The owner Claudio if I remember his name correctly was really nice and welcoming. Great food. Totally recommended.
Everything on the menu is amazing, the staff know what you want before you do, and the owner is one of the most amazing people you will ever meet. There are not many restaurants that can make me cry because the food is just like...my grandmother used to make. If you visit Lipe, you will not want to miss eating here. Perfect!More

We came here after we heard very positive comments ! And it’s true the food is great! We had tuna tartare really good and fresh then 2 amazing pizzas (piccante and prosciutto e funghi). cocktails are great (aperol spritz and negroni wow). really good !

On our first day on the island we decided to try this place, recommend by our accommodation's owner (who is italian too). Claudio, the owner was going to close that night, since there were not many people on the island due to the covid situations....But when he saw us he just opened again and we had the lucky occasion to try his pizza!!! We are Italian and with great passion for food... So u can really believe me: the pizza was super good, real Italian style.. Even better than some pizza I had home! The dough was perfect, soft and crunchy in a good balance, the sauce was good too and the mozzarella well melted by the oven. We really enjoyed it and for a really good price. Claudio is a really nice guy and you will feel this also in his food. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go back a second time for trying other dishes, but this would be a good excuse to come back to Lipe and to Made in Italy as well!More

Had to send back risotto because the rice was hard and flowery. When it came back having been ‘recooked’ the seafood was tough and the dish tasted ‘sour’, almost vinegary. The Maitre de tasted the food and said that it was meant to be al...dente, which it is and was second time around not the first, and then stomped off. We also had a pizza and bruschetta which were fine. So, be aware, the prices are high (fine if the food you get is good) and the portions small. PS I’ve lived in Italy, been making risotto for 40 years and eat it in every Italian restaurant I go to and have done so on four continents.More
