We found the restaurant on a quick Google search as it was rated No 1 restaurant in Koh Lipe and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Lucas the owner was so professional and friendly, taking the time to explaining every single dish to us and treating us...like his family! The food was exquisite: we tried the fresh salmon and tuna sashimi as a starter, we had the carbonara pasta to share, then my partner had the steak and I got the fresh lobster with coconut mash potatoes as a main. We definitely over-ordered as all the food in the menu looked delicious but we finished everything from the plate and just writing the review now and remembering the delicious food we had makes my mouth water! The red wine was also spectacular, Rioja from Spain recommended by Lucas! At the end of the night we have been offered a free taxi ride by Lucas to the Walking Street with a local guy which also also great! Overall it was an amazing experience and we will recommend The Hill Restaurant to family and friends! Lucas you are an amazing person inside out and you should be very proud of yourself and your achievement, building the restaurant and the resort from scratch and making it the best in Koh Lipe! We visited The Hill twice, once on a special Christmas eve dinner, both times it was wonderful. Lucas the manager of this place is an amazing guy and he takes care of ppl! He speaks about food with passion which I always love ❤️ Both...times we were offered drinks on the beach and watched the sunset, after that a wonderful dinner which will stay in our memory for a long time! I messaged the restaurant that I wanted to make a reservation to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Lucas, the manager did the rest. A few days before we arrived, he suggested an itinerary for the evening, gave me menu choices and prices. On the evening of...my husband’s birthday, Lucas welcomed us. We enjoyed mojitos on the beach of the Bayview Sunset Resort. Then back up the stairs for dining under the stars. Our table overlooking the sea was decorated with a beautiful flower arrangement courtesy of Lucas’s wife. The restaurant is closed, but Lucas opened it just for us. The chef prepared a wonderful meal. We were served were fresh sashimi, jumbo grilled local prawns, marinated pork, and local fresh lobster Thermidor with crab fried rice. Everything was delicious. The service, staff and music were all superb. They surprised my husband by singing happy birthday and serving him a delicious cake. The experience was wonderful, amazing, romantic. I’ve planned a surprise dinner for my husband’s birthday and I got all the assistance I need from the manager Lucas and the assistant chef Tom. They helped me to choose the best dishes to...have a great dinner on my budget. We started with a sunset mojito at the beach and moved later for the dinner in the Hill restaurant. The service, the view and the atmosphere helped to make the night even more special. The food was delicious, very taste and carefully prepared the way we liked. The marinated pork slices and the steamed fish in the soy sauce were outstanding. If you are looking for a romantic atmosphere, nice view, great food and an unique experience that is definitely the place.More

Delicious food stylishly presented in the relaxing restaurant overlooking the Sunset Beach. There are a few vegan items on menu, but the chef modified our selection and with a few substitutions made our unforgettable dinner vegan friendly. We ordered Green olives that came with the...olive oil infused with the minced ginger and garlic. Excellent appetizer. Tofu Salad was a lovely combo of the green papaya, carrots, mango, Thai basil, peanuts served with the homemade dressing, light and refreshing. Red kidney Burger came without mayo and was served with the sweet potato fries. Large and fulfilling. The dessert - vegan Andaman Chocolate - chocolate coconut ganache was a lovely conclusion to the amazing feast! The staff at the restaurant and at the resort knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. It is the expensive restaurant, but worth every penny. Highly recommend!More
We came across this resort by coincidence, a late afternoon, and we stayed for some mojitos while watching the sunset. Few days after we came back and we decided to stay for dinner at " The Hill Restaurant". Located in a cozy little wooden terrace...overlooking the sea, this restaurant is a fusión of thai/asian food with a spanish twist, using local fresh fish and breeding their own ducks, adding asian spices to traditional iberic dishes. Thanks to Lucas for creating such a beautiful venue and for welcoming us as family and to Javi and Joaquim for delivering such an amazing experience. The duck, the blue marlin fillet and the " huevos roto" are definetly a must!!More
The view, the Mediterranean food mixed with Thai flavor, the friendly staff will definitely come back!! Highly recommended the place which was a bit hard to find it, but so worth it anyways!! Definitely a restaurant you must not miss if you visit koh Lipe!!
The chefs come to the table to explain the special of the day, was a great experience from the beginning till the end. Also the wine imported menu surprise us! we enjoyed a bottle of Rioja white wine, deliciuos! We will come back the Hill...resturant once again before to leave the island.More

We enjoyed a wonderful valentines diner with bayview while sunset. We were served with delicious food within finley selected courses. Our vegetarian whishes were respected and we as friends were as welcomed as all the couples. The diner was an aesthetic experience through and through...from its appealing colors, amazing flavors and seductive smell. We took a tuk tuk to reach this place on the sunset beach side of the island - only a short distance from Walking Street but like visiting a different island. After watching the sunset from the cheerful beach bar, we climbed the steep steps...up to the restaurant. It only has a small number of tables but offers a great view overlooking the bay and nice service. The food is unusual and is described as “fusion”. It leans towards European with Thai touches. All the dishes we had were very tasty and portions good. Favourites were the Thai croquettes which are nicely spicy and the duck in five spice sauce with a salsa dressing. It’s a small menu but well balanced with meat, fish and vegetarian options.More
