We had two evening dinners at Auberge du Bac whilst staying locally in Jumieges. The setting on the banks of the Seine was idyllic - the light was just starting to fade making it look all the more picturesque. We took up a table on the outside dining area and was able to watch the occasional ship pass along the... More

Having read the reviews and looked at the restaurant location and menus the day before I was looking forward to our evening meal. The restaurant is on the edge of the Seine and overlooks the forest. The covered terrace affords good views of the river and its varied traffic. There are set menus and la carte choices. There is an... More

Visited twice during a stay. Great spot on the Seine, a leisurely 10 min walk from the town. Good service and great French cuisine. Spot a tanker or cargo ship pass on its way to Rouen.

This is a place well worth seeking out despite it's isolated position. The menu is very comprehensive and the food fresh and tasty. Service was first class in a very rural french style and despite a very busy evening the staff were always ready to help. There is the option to dine either inside, in the conservatory or outside on... More

There are several good places to eat in Jumeiges, but this is probably a notch above the others we tried that were open. We had a lovely dinner and a pleasant evening overlooking the Seine. Not expensive, good service and an excellent unpretentious French menu.

This is an excellent local restaurant much used by the locals. The food is well prepared from fine ingredients. I had a sea bass starter and an interesting tête de veau in a sauce gribiche. I am coeliac and I was very impressedthat when I mentioned this the waiter produced a printed card showing the status of all the dishes... More

Pros: - Service is very friendly, fast and highly professional. Quite impressive actually, as I am pretty sure this is a family-run restaurant. - Reservation process (which by the way I highly recommend) is very easy. Either online through their own website or directly at the restaurant. - They have a covered terrace with nice views of the River with... More
