Ask for the grilled squid! This is the best! Also mixed seafood was excellent as well as other seafood dishes. Simple place but proper food.

We order picado, a small one, and it was big anyway. That made me happy, some restaurants they say that one smal fits for two and when we gonna see doesn't even fits for a kid. The bad thing was the bolo do caco, it wasn't fresh The service was very nice, people were friendly. And it wasnt expansive

After a long walk we were starving so headed towards Sao Vicente & were lured here by the espetadas on the specials board. Both food & wine did the job & the meat was tasty & succulent, although it was served with slightly soggy fries. It did the job in filling us up but was really nothing outstanding. It must... More

Have to put a good word in for this one. Very good friendly service, with great food and wine in this lovely area. . We will return on our next visit.

Waiter was friendly enough, but service was very slow even though it wasn't that busy. Unfortunately we hadn't done our research and by the time we found out that the restaurant next door had much better reviews it was a bit late. When the food finally arrived it was mediocre at best. The oily food also gave me indigestion for... More

O Virgilio dubs itself seafood palace- there must have been a palace revolt though, seeing how they treat the poor seafood! Lapas left for several minutes to cool to a congealed rubbery substance on the counter while the waitress was busy half a meter away folding napkins. Only for the patient and those who don't eat seafood maybe. The fish... More

Was there with my family. Had lapas as a starter and bolo do caco. Both lovely and tasty and the seafood was very fresh. Ordered the Octopus(picado de polvo) and it was amazingly prepared with herbs and olive oil and the chips were freshly made with potatos (not the frozen ones) and also very tasty. The service was very good... More

Danger. Dishes are not fresh. Octopus had a bad smell and such an awful fish soup made of fish skin and old potatoes should only be served to pigs.

We tried this seafood Restaurant, and we ate a typical "Bolo do Caco", some delicious "Lapas" and shared a chicken "Picado" (which was one of the best we tasted on the north coast of Madeira). The food was all very tasty, and good value, and service was very friendly. There is a lot of seafood variety, but a decent selection... More
