Tucked away down some narrow country lanes, this wonderful pub/restaurant is well worth finding. The location is beautiful, with lovely views. The welcome is very warm, with all the staff being very friendly and helpful. The food is exceptionally good. I had the fish platter, which comprised of a selection that included smoked salmon, crayfish, peppered mackerel and anchovies, with... More

Four of us had lunch here early on this week and it was superb. We were warmly greeted and well looked after through the meal. The Half Moon is one of our favourites in the area and we return as often as we can. The board menu changes all the time and we cant wait to see what delicious dishes... More

We visited here all but one night of our brief stay nearby. The welcome was as warm as the open fire, and the staff/hosts could not do enough for us. Beers are kept very well indeed, and the food is delicious. In addition to a regular menu, there are numerous items on the specials board, which seem to change frequently,... More

Great pub, food never lets us down, and being able to sit out in the garden overlooking the valley is brilliant in summer. Going there for lunch today!

Putting the stunning scenery to one side, the Half moon inn does excellent food. We are a family of four with varying tastes and were all catered for. I had the stuffed chicken which was delicious. A great range of real ale too. Definitely worth a visit.

Had 2 meals here. Good real ale and lovely food, nice old pub and garden. Shame after such a lovely sunday roast there was a mix up on our sweet order which meant a 1 hour wait. Seems they were unexpectedly very busy and could not cope. Took edge off 2nd visit with friends, 1st visit was good.

I visited alone for an evening meal and although I was apprehensive about dining alone, I needn't have worried as I was made feel welcome from the minute I walked through the door. I asked for some newspapers to read and they appeared within a few minutes, once I had been seated at a table of my choice. The staff... More
