Called here with a friend who had previous experience! Sampled some excellent sponge cake and tea. Beware the cake portions they are beyond generous. Pleasant staff always a plus.

If you get the opportunity visit this place. Beautiful cakes is an understatement. This is a paradise for those unfettered by diets. You deserve this treat - oh yes you do. Bliss.

If you are anywhere on Kintyre make sure you visit Muneroy. Friendly, quaint and great service. Superbly served, fresh and tasty food (especially the cakes), in a relaxing atmosphere. A special little place with lovely staff rarely seen these days 😃

Burns night, so asked if there was a lunchtime special to mark the day, had some neep and potato soup with haggis roll. I died and went to heaven it was so good! I'm a regular at this wonderful eatery. Francis I expected a slice of haggis in my roll....wrong, what I got was haggis mixed in the dough.... it's... More

After lovely breakfasts at our B&B, we only needed a snack to keep us going throughout the day, so while in Southend we went to Muneroy. As we didn't need that much we decided to just have a scone and then a piece of cake between us. The Waitress that took our order was quite amazing. As all the cakes... More

Last week went for a family meal as part of Muneroy Christmas nights, the atmosphere is amazing, the food was ace, never tasted turkey olives before (turkey meat wrapping the haggis) served with the traditional chipolatas etc. It was piping hot and a massive plate. The others were extremely happy too my mum enjoyed the turkey broth especially, to top... More

Fairly basic fare when it comes to the main courses but they are beautifully cooked and prepared. The cakes though are utterly amazing and worth a trip just to try them. Amazingly light sponges, perfect meringues (light and airy and just a touch chewy in the middle without being too dry). Honestly if you have a sweet tooth you will... More

We were in the area for the weekend and had been recommended Muneroy's by 2 different people so we decided to head to Southend. Well we weren't disappointed.....a great selection of cakes, scones and the meringue's! We have booked to go back around Hogmanay with all the family! A very traditional looking tea room and a lovey welcoming atmosphere! Francis... More

Went here for a drive down kintyre after hearing rave reviews about the cakes. We had soup and a bacon melt which was so good!! But then the cake list almost sung to us by the friendly girl who served us was such a brilliant choice. Decided in toffee merengue in the end which was so delicious. We will definitely... More
